Title: File 48 The Orders from "J"
131
Fujimaru: We need to hurry.
Minami: Hurry? Where to!?
Fujimaru: Isn't it obvious?
Fujimaru: To go get the antivirus!
Text in the middle: Only idiots look
Mikhail: The footage from the cameras we set up in the apartment is down...
Mikhail: He got my computer, too!
Mikhail: It won't listen to any of my commands!!
132
J: A virus?
Mikhail: We were...infected.
Mikhail: Damn it.
Mikhail: The wireless is...
133
Mikhail: No good...
Mikhail: Not good...
Mikhail: It's started searching for a public wireless LAN access point!?
Mikhail: At this rate, the computer's data will be sent out!
Mikhail: If it reaches "Third-i"...
J: ...Mikhail-kun.
J: Remove the battery...
134
135
Mikhail: Wait...hey.
Mikhail: What are you thinking!? We just needed to take out the battery!
Mikhail: Don't just be silent!!
J: I-it's fine, Mikhail-kun.
J: It's not like you don't have a backup, right?
Mikhail: That's...right!
Mikhail: ...That's right...
J: If "Third-i" had gotten the data from that computer...
J: who know what kind of problems would show up for "what we're doing form here on".
J: That was close.
J: So...the contents of the email you took from Falcon was a virus?
Mikhail: ...Yeah.
Mikhail: He got us.
Mikhail: He read our movements and set up an email with a virus in it.
J: Oh? So everything's going perfectly for him in his home turf...huh?
J: Interesting.
136
J: And being interesting...
J: is good and all.
J: I just wish he wouldn't piss me off like this.
J: He should be explaining what he did with a triumphant air about now.
J: We need to break...
J: that upturned nose of his...
137
Mikhail: The radio...won't connect!?
Mikhail: Our connection to the armed team is cut off...?
Mikhail: How could he possibly hijack an independent transceiver for an analog signal with a laptop...?
Mikhail: It...couldn't be...!!
Fujimaru: I used Bluetooth.
138
Minami: Blue...
Fujimaru: Bluetooth.
Fujimaru: Like that...
Fujimaru: or this.
Fujimaru: And...
Fujimaru: This.
Fujimaru: Computers and cell phones use it a lot for short range wireless communications.
Fujimaru: For things like cordless headphones and a cell phone's cordless headset.
Fujimaru: Everyone from your average person to your government agents use it without realizing it.
139
Fujimaru: The security on it is pretty weak and a lot of hacking tools have been developed for it.
Text right of Fujimaru: Like Bluesnarf or Bluebug.
Fujimaru: If a competent hacker targets it...
Fujimaru: he can bug it and take information from it. And with a cell phone he can even send emails with it.
Minami: Wha...?
Fujimaru: Don't worry.
Fujimaru: On my suggestion, "Third-i" had me up the security on theirs.
Minami: So you hacked into their Bluetooth...?
Fujimaru: That's right.
Fujimaru: The terrorists I'd dealt with before all used it...
Fujimaru: so I thought that if there were any enemies hidden nearby they'd be using it, too.
Fujimaru: I scanned for Bluetooth signals and, just as I thought, I found some.
Fujimaru: And I was able to use it.
140
Fujimaru: Hacking an analog transceiver with a computer is impossible.
Fujimaru: But the transceivers were connected to a cordless headset using Bluetooth, and I hacked it using a tool I'd made.
Fujimaru: I changed who it was paired up with and took over.
Fujimaru: And then I pretended to be "J" and gave them orders to not move from that spot...
Text right of Fujimaru: Man, I'm glad that worked. If J hadn't been commanding them, it wouldn't've worked.
Minami: "J" is the guy you talked with in that cafe?
Minami: But wouldn't your voice give it away? ...And, come to think of it, you never said anything.
Fujimaru: The computer's the one that spoke.
141
Fujimaru: When I met "J" in the cafe, "Third-i" did some sampling of his voice.
Fujimaru: And I managed to get that data.
Fujimaru: I used a voice synthesis program I wrote...
Fujimaru: I'm starting.
Text on computer: Cancel the assault.
J voice: Cancel the assault.
Terrorist: Eh...?
Text on computer above the line: Cancel the assault.
Text on computer below the line: Don't move from where you are until I give you fur
142
J voice: Don't move from where you are until I give you further orders.
J voice: Make sure...
J voice: not to move from there.
Terrorist: Y...yes, sir.
Fujimaru: The voice synthesis program is still in beta...
Fujimaru: but I was pretty sure the voice would be close enough for hearing it through the transceiver.
Minami: Hmm...
Minami: That was quite something.
Fujimaru: It seemed like "J" knew that "Third-i" would be coming back then.
Fujimaru: And I'm sure he knew his voice might get recorded.
Fujimaru: But I bet he didn't expect for us to use it like this.
Minami: By the way...
Minami: how did you know that she was a traitor?
143
Fujimaru: Even before I found the Bluetooth, there was a small problem that made me not trust her.
Fujimaru: And this is a time where one shouldn't easily trust others...
Munakata: A problem...?
Fujimaru: It started when I noticed the dishes in your room, Munakata-san.
Fujimaru: Except for the sets of 5 for when guests come over they were all put in pairs.
Fujimaru: And there were too many towels...
Fujimaru: for someone living alone.
Fujimaru: From the feel of the room, you didn't seem like the kind of person to let your dirty laundry pile up.
Fujimaru: I thought you might have a husband or boyfriend, but all of your clothes seemed to be women's ones.
Fujimaru: If there was a woman living with you, I thought from your age that you might have a daughter.
Fujimaru: But after the danger you were in earlier today, it's odd that you wouldn't be with her or ask for anyone to protect her...
Fujimaru: Munakata-san...why?
Fujimaru: You were a friend of my dad and the others back when you were in college...
144
Munakata: ...I'm sorry...
Munakata: I'm not going to say anything.
Munakata: If I did...
Fujimaru: Anyways, we don't have time.
Fujimaru: Let's go! It's not like we've found the antivirus yet!
Minami: You haven't found it!? If it wasn't in your mail server...
Minami: then where is the "Shikimura File"?
145
Fujimaru: At my...
Fujimaru: dead mom's place!
Terrorist: Hurry.
J: Looking at the situation...
J: they haven't found the file yet.
146
J: Until we know where it is, don't kill Falcon.
J: But if you need to you, you can shoot him until he can't move.
Terrorist: Roger.
J: Don't...
J: let him get away.
147
Minami: Find cover!!
Minami: Tch.
Minami: Now that we've figured them out, they sure have gotten showy....
Fujimaru: Minami-san!!
148
Minami: Shit...!!
Minami: Damn iiit!!
Terrorist: Do not fear.
Terrorist: There's only one investigator.
Terrorist: We'll make them pay...for the sin of taking away our "light"!!
Fujimaru: Damn it. And we've come so far...
Fujimaru: What should we do?
Fujimaru: Think, Fujimaru!!
149
Mikhail: "J"...I've gotten the communications back online!!
Mikhail: Should I connect you?
J: He can just do the same thing again.
J: This cell phone is fine.
Mikhail: O-okay.
J: ...Mikhail-kun.
J: Calm down.
J: What a truly good commanding officer has is the ability to respond to the constantly changing situation.
J: And to calmly...
J: make decisions that have the smallest effect on their final goal.
J: That's right.
J: Calmly...
J: So...
150
J: That's...
J: what I do, as well.
