Ai: If he screwed up his attack and we got away, we could tell someone what he looked like, and he doesn't want that.
Ai: He might be playing the piano in the dark...

Ai: He wouldn't think we saw the journal and have realized he's a kidnapper.
Mitsuhiko: But can't we figure out who he is by checking who owns the place?

Journal: From talking to him, he seems to be a very nice boy. He smiles a lot and likes to play... I don't know if he understands the position he's in, but he's lived a fairly restricted life, too.
Journal: Anyway, 2 more days...Just need to endure until then.

Journal: Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Beethoven...The melodies cause your heart to tremble...A genius born in the same age...I resent his talent...

Conan: The first thing that bothers me is that there's no entry for March 21st. The entry for the 20th says "2 more days" and the on for the 22nd says "1 more day".
Conan: It's as if the 21st doesn't exist.

Conan: And where it says "March 24th Rainy" in the last entry is odd.
Conan: The red stain must be from spilled wine, but since it's dried it must have happened more than an hour before we found it. But if it was written an hour before then, why does it say "rainy"?
Conan: When we got here, it hadn't been raining for a full hour yet.

Conan: I knew it. There's a stain that sticks out slightly.
Conan: It got wet again for some reason after the first time.

Conan: How did that happen...?
Conan: Hm?
SFX: Flip flip

Conan: The staples in the middle are shifted in opposite directions.
Conan: And the holes are a bit bigger then they should be.

Conan: And 2 pages are sticking out from the rest.

Conan: Hm?
Conan: There are marks from something being written above it on the pages after the one's sticking out.

Genta: Hey, Conan?
Mitsuhiko: Why are you rubbing the journal with the lead from mechanical pencil?

Ayumi: A Monster Getter treasure map!!
Ai: Why is that there?

Conan: I don't have any proof, so I won't say anything definite...
Conan: but if I check on something in the piano room, I'll have the answer!
Mitsuhiko: I-In the piano room?

Ai: It's possible he's making it sound like he isn't there and is lying in wait.
Conan: Yeah.
Conan: That's why we have to be careful!

Ayumi: But the chair isn't at the right height.

Mitsuhiko: If you turn the dial under this cover, you can adjust the height.

Ai: The creepy piano player?
Conan: Yeah, he's a most troubling prodigy.

Conan: One so troubling...
Conan: you'd resent that he was born!
