The raw came out late, so the translation and stuff's all gonna be late. Next week maybe will be on time...
This chapter's really awesome. It's got scientific stuff in it but the characters and plot make it really gripping and not boring at all. Check it out...

Narration: Also known as "rain clouds" and "thunder clouds", gigantic clouds with a maximum height of 10,000 meters.
Contrary to their beautiful appearance, when there are "lightning bolts" and "concentrated heavy rain" they can cause "tornados" and be extremely dangerous clouds.
乱気流をともない大型の航空機でも近付けば墜落の危険があるまさに"雲の怪物"なのだ。
Also, because of the great turbulence they cause in the upper atmosphere, even or large scale aircrafts, if they get too close there can be a danger of being brought down. They are truly "beast clouds". [beast clouds in bold.]

Toriko: Without us noticing, the atmosphere around ground level became unstable...
An unstable atmosphere can quickly become an updraft and give rise to a "cumulonimbus cloud"...
In the fastest cases, a cumulonimbus cloud will form completely in a few minutes.

Toriko: They're leaves that grow on the rare "Oxygen Tree"...

Toriko: If there's just a small amount of light, and the water content and carbon dioxide in your breath, it will undergo photosynthesis and make "oxygen". [Woo boy... This isn't my week.]
Even a plucked leaf can continue photosynthesizing oxygen for a month.

In a dark place like this, where's a light going to...
Toriko: This darkness indicates just how thick that cloud is right now.
That it's blocking out the sun this much means it's a cumulonimbus cloud of some several thousand meters.
It's okay. Lightning strikes inside the cloud.
So there'll be more than enough for photosynthesis.
Komatsu: L... Lightning...?
We're going into a thing like that~~?
Toriko: ...Well, uh...
Komatsu: Toriko-san, do you not mind not having one on!?
Toriko: Hey, here it comes, Komatsu!!
The "Downburst"!!
SFX: GOH
Narration: ■Downburst
The phenomenon called a "downburst" is when turbulent air inside a cumulonimbus cloud takes the heat from the surrounding air and shoots a cold mass of air towards the earth's surface.

環境に反発するんじゃなく
