Aizawa Suguru
Was expected by all to shouldder the future of Japanese football, but lost his life in an accident. The heavily-injured Kakeru inherited his heart and his beliefs shortly after.

Aizawa Kakeru
Suguru's younger brother. Due to an accident, he realised his older brother's true intentions, and decided to start over again as a player. Despite trying hard to conquer his difficulty with his left side, and his astonishingly quick growth, he has so far been unable to become a starter for the team.

Mishima Nana
A childhood friend of Kakeru, nicknamed Seven. Although she is the manager of the football team, she has excellent football instincts, and is Kakeru's practice partner outside of club.

The ex-Vice Captain who has entered Kamakura High. Takes notice of middle school training sessions.

Defender position. He is easily satisfied. His nickname is Mr. Sexual Harassment.

Coach
Coaches both the middle and high school teams.
He has ability, but also a stubborn side.

Mine Ayaka
A clinical psychologist. Was responsible for Kakeru's counselling after the accident. Counselled Suguru in the past.

Summary

Kakeru, who was the sole survivor in the traffic accident with his brother Suguru, the ace of Japan's U-15 football team, decides to give football up. However, his clinical psychotherapist Mine Ayaka encourages him to take it up again, to regain his fitness. When Kakeru goes to the park at night to practise, just like before, Grey Mask appears in front of him - and its real identity is Seven! Nana was actually asked by Suguru to become Kakeru's practice partner. Moreover, Kakeru finds out that what saved him in the accident was a heart transplant from his brother. Shocked, Kakeru finds a diary in his brother's room. Inside are his brother's true feelings - the dream to win a World Cup together with his brother, and more, are written inside. Kakeru then swears to continue playing football until the end of his life, that his brother gave him.
