Manga doesn't use semi-colons very often, or follow certain other grammatical rules, but I will put them in anyway.

The people that everybody call, otaku - they're always eating junk food so I thought that this book could also be used as a cook book for people living by themselves, and in terms of future possibilities, I've also considered how these characters could be marketed.
You know, like, creating a name brand character that's easily recognized throughout the whole country, working with the farmer's collective, that would create an even bigger market... Ah, of course, when I draw them I'll make them cuter.

Thinking about Japan's Agriculture
Heroine: Nerima Daikon [Turnip] Daiko-chan 100cm
The setup: "Vegi-Critter" [Vegetables + animals] raised from seeds
A poor student (Main character) picks up a seed that he finds on the side of the road and
-- he decides to grow it to eat it, but when he finally goes to harvest his crop
-- he pulls up a girl instead! (The main character is surprised, naturally)
-- so he takes the first part of vegetables and calls her "Vegi-tan"
-- and so begin the modest and humble poor lives of the two.
-- was always eating junk food so
-- never even tried cooking once but, Vegi-tan
-- girl teaches him everything, starting from first base and,
-- main character, with a healthier lifestyle, starts eating meals centered around vegetables
-- and loses weight. The girls (human) in the same grade who had never paid attention to him before even start talking to him. The vegi-tan girl is a little jealous (plan to make this lightly related to the real world), and just like that the other vegi-tan that would be expected can be introduced.

They watch over the lives of the girls with this partichular sense of dishtance.
Suzuki-sensei is ushing that technique at a shplendid level.
