5: at a certain point, "Billy Bat" went to the dogs.
6: The art got crummy, and it was clear that the author had changed.
7: The world is a strange place, though...you see, as soon as that happened, it got even more popular.
8: And before we knew it, it turned into a cartoon, and there was even an amusement park built around it.
