One Piece 418

This was way too cool a chapter to pass up translating. I can't wait to see how Shinwei and other translators tackle certain areas of the text too (especially Spandam spitting the meanest, most cruel insults at Robin).

Chapter 418: Luffy vs. Rob Lucci

*Starts with Kaku all cut up.

ゾロ「ハァ・・・ハァ・・・一つ・・・　ガレーラの若頭から伝言だ　―てめェら”クビ”だそう だ」
Zoro: Haa…..haa…..just one thing…there’s a message from the Galley-La lieutenant. You all seem to be “fired.”

カク「・・・パウリーか・・・そうか・・・困ったわい・・・殺し屋という仕事は・・・潰しがきかんというの に・・・」
Kaku: …From Paulie…I see…that’s not good…they say it’s hard to find work as a killer-for-hire these days…

ゾロ「・・・動物園があるじゃねェか・・・」
Zoro: …Well there’s always the zoo…

カク「・・・わは・・は　・・・ゆうてくれる・・・！！」

胸元から鍵を取り出しゾロに渡すカク。受け取るゾロ
*Kaku takes the key out of his chest pocket and gives it to Zoro. Zoro takes the key.

*Scene changes to Sanji going to where Zoro is

サンジ「おうマリモ！！鍵はどうした！！？」
Sanji: Hey mosshead! What about the key!!?

ゾロ「あァ今貰ったとこだ」
Zoro: Ah, I just got it.

サンジ「しかしまたズレたなこの塔大丈夫かよ・・・！！」
Sanji: Yeah, but this tower is really out of whack…!!

ゾロ「どうでもいいだろとにかくこれで　鍵は全部集まった！！急いでロビンの所へ行くぞ！！」
Zoro: Who the hell cares? At least now we have all the keys!! Let’s hurry to where Robin is!!

舞台変わって正義の門前
*Scene change to in front of the Gate of Justice

スパンダム「ワハハハハ・・・！！！とうとう開通だ！！笑いが止まらなねェ・・・！！！
　　　　　　おい！！「正義の門」の門衛共！！！出てきて敬礼はどうした！！？英雄スパンダム様のお通りだ ぞ！！！」
Spandam: Waahaaaaahaaa!! It’s completely open!! I can’t stop laughing…!!! Hey “Gate of Justice” guards!!! What about coming down here and showing some respect!!? The hero Spandam is coming through!!!

スパンダム「・・・オイ　ニコ・ロビンあれを見ろ　―あの小さな門こそが実質の入り口だ・・・ ！！アレを通過する一歩こそがお前にとって天国と地獄の境界線！！！そして俺が歴史に名をキザむ瞬 間なのだ！！！」
Spandam: Hey, look at that, Nico Robin! That little gate is the real entrance…! The first step passing through there will be what divides heaven and hell for you!!! And for me it will be the moment when my name is carved into the annals of history!!!


逃げようとするロビン
*Robin tries to run away

スパンダム「おっとっとっとォ！！今更どこへ逃げようってんだよ！！ワハハハ　同情くらいしてんだよ俺だっ て本当はよ―だが仕方ねぇだろ？お前には生きてる価値がねぇんだ」
Spandam: Oh oh oh!! Where are you trying to run now all of a sudden! Ha ha ha!! I feel for you, I really do. But there’s no other way right? You just don’t have any right to live.

それでも逃げようとするロビン
*Robin still tries to run away

スパンダム「あの女ァ！！！待ちやがれっ！！！」
Spandam: That woman!!! Wait!!!

ロビン叩きつけるスパンダム
*Spandam slams Robin against the ground

スパンダム「てめぇいい加減！！ん！？何だ！？離れねぇっ！！」
Spandam: Enough, you!! Wha!? What!? She won’t come off!!

石橋に食らいついて血を流すロビン
*Robin is sticking herself to the stone bridge (basically holding on by her teeth)

スパンダム「コイツ・・・！！石橋に食らいついてやがる！！！何て往生際の悪ィ女だ！！！忌々 しい！！！何てみっともねぇ生への執着！！！哀れで！！卑しい！！罪人のくせに
死ぬ事でしか人を幸せにできねぇ癖に！！！最期の最期まで何だこのみすぼらしい姿 ！！！」
Spandam: This one…!!! She’s holding onto the bridge with her teeth!!! What a woman who doesn’t know when to quit!!! How disgusting!!! What a ridiculous fixation on life!!! Pitiful!! Vulgar!! As a criminal you can’t even bring happiness to people with your death!! Showing your wretched self until the very end!!!

涙を流すロビン
*Robin crying.

ロビン（”死”がこんなにも怖く感じる・・・・死にたくない！！！ここは動かない！！！みんなが必ず！！！ 助けに来てくれるから！！！）
Robin: (“Death” is really this scary a feeling…I don’t want to die!! I won’t move from here!!! Everyone will come!! They’ll all definitely come to save me!!!)

スパンダム「何度言わせる　もうお前に希望などねぇんだよ！！！」
Spandam: How many times do I have to say it? There’s no hope or anything left for you!

*Scene change to Luffy vs. Lucci

ルフィ「おおォッ！！！」
Luffy: Oooooooh!!!

殴りかかるルフィ　かわすルッチ
*Luffy punches and Lucci dodges

ルッチ「指銃　”黄連”！！！」　吹き飛ばされるルフィ
Lucci: Shigan, “Ouren (Coptis Root)”!!! *Luffy goes flying.

フランキー「麦わらァ！！！いやいや俺の使命はあの扉を抜ける事！！！」
Franky: Strawhat!!! Wait wait, my orders are to get through that door!!!

ルッチ「ムダだ」
Lucci: It’s pointless.

フランキー「”ストロング”！！”ハンマー”！！！」ドゴォン！！！
Franky: “Strong”!! “Hammer”!!! BAAAAM!!!

ルッチ「鉄塊」
Lucci: Tekkai.

フランキー「・・・・！！何だビクともしねぇ！！”チャパパ”は充分吹き飛ばせたんだがな・・ ・」
Franky: …!! What the hell, it didn’t even phase him!! I was able to send “chapapa” flying with that attack too…

ルッチ「成る程フクロウを破ってここへ・・・だが残念おれの道力は　ヤツの5倍だ」
Lucci: I see…you beat Fukurou to get here…unfortunately for you I’m 5 times stronger than him.

*THUD!!! (Body blow)

ルッチ「フクロウを倒せたのは見事だ　お前も充分超人の域にいる　だが・・・死ね」
Lucci: It’s impressive that you were able to beat Fukurou. That makes you a super-human in your own right. But….die now.

フランキー（やっぱりコイツはケタ違いだ！！！）
Franky (This guy really is on another level!!!)

ルフィ「”ゴムゴムの”・・・・”JET銃”っ！！！！」　ドンッ！！！　ルッチ吹き飛ぶ
Luffy: “Gomu gomu…JET bullet”!!! *BAM!!! Lucci goes flying

フランキー「・・・・お前一体！！！何だその煙！！！」
Franky: …You!!! What the hell is with all that smoke!!!

ルフィ「”ギア”　　”２”！！！　あんまり長ェ時間持たねぇけどあいつを止めるから先に行けフランキー！ ！ロビンが待ってる！！！」
Luffy: Gear 2!!! I can’t hold it for very long so I’ll stop this guy while you run ahead, Franky! Robin is waiting!!!

フランキー「よし麦わら！！何だか知らんがそれであいつをタタんじまえ！！」
Franky: Okay Strawhat!! I don’t know what that means, but take this guy out with it!!!

ルッチ「そうは・・・させんと・・・！！言った筈・・・！！！」
Lucci: I’m sure…I said…I won’t let you do that…!!!

ルッチ豹化
*Lucci turns into a leopard

フランキー「ぐわー！！てめぇも能力者だったのか！！」
Franky: Whoa!! You have those abilities too!!?

ルッチ「まずお前を消そうフランキー！！」　飛び込むルッチ　割り込むルフィ
Lucci: I’ll get rid of you first, Franky!! **Lucci lunges at Franky but Luffy cuts between them

ルフィ「”JET鞭っ”！！！」　吹き飛ぶルッチ
Luffy: “JET whip”!!! *Lucci goes flying again

ルッチ「ハァ・・・忘れたか麦わらのルフィ・・・ガレーラの屋敷でこの姿のおれに・・・一突きにされた事を 」
Lucci: Haaaa….did you forget, Strawhat Luffy…back at the Galley-La house you got taken down by me in this form with one stab…

ルフィ「・・ああ・・あれ　肉くったらなおった」
Luffy: …Oh…that? That got healed after I ate some meat.

ルッチ「　剃　「指銃」！！！」　かわすルフィ
Lucci: “Soru” “Shigan”!!! *Luffy dodges

ルフィ「”ゴムゴムの”」

ルフィ「”JETバズーカ”！！！」　ズドォン！！！
Luffy: “JET bazooka”!!! *BAAAM!!!

スパンダム「ワハハハ・・！！間抜けなツラだ・・！ワハハ無駄な抵抗などするからだ！！ブワ～～カ！！！」
Spandam: Haaahaaahaa!!! You idiot…!! Ha ha, that’s what you get for trying to resist!! Moooooron!!!

血を流して倒れてるロビン
*Robin collapsed and bleeding

ルッチ起き上がる　ルッチ「・・・・・！！」　フランキーその隙に扉を開けてダッシュ
*Lucci gets up
Lucci: “….!!” *Franky uses this time to go through the door

ルフィ「フランキー！！！ロビンを頼むっ！！！！」
Luffy: Franky!! Take care of Robin!!!

フランキー「スーパー任せとけ！！！！」
Franky: SUPER leave it to me!!!
