Sengoku 1

This is the first chapter of the historical manga, "Sengoku", set during the rise to power of Oda Nobunaga, told through the eyes of a rather foolish young man who enters his service, Sengoku Gombee Hidehisa. This is going to be rougher than my Kenichi translations, because of the archaic language used, and my checker has (for the time being, at least) declined to correct it.

The time is the Warring State period. A retainer of the Saitou family of Mino, Sengoku Gombee Hidehisa (age 15) is in Inabayama Castle as it is about to fall. The enemy is the tyrant, the Lord of Chiba, Oda Nobunaga!! As the castle is falling, Sengoku is terror stricken and dazed. However, he makes a promise with his childhood friend, the maid Ochou. In order to carry out this promise, Sengoku is prepared to die trying to escape from the castle that is about to fall to the beseiging army of Oda. Can he really survive!?
