Things have gotten pretty bad lately, but I should have 2 or 3 chptr.s of until death do us part out sometime this week.
page 1
panel) If I wait, will she return? // Was that smile upside-down last time I looked?
page 2
b1) Nodame!
b2) She was really good.
b3) I'm really glad I came today.
b4) That was the first time I heard Chopin like that.
b5) I was really shocked.
b6) It was because of the maestro.
b7) What an amazing child.
b8) No dame.
b9) Nodame.
b10) Are you sure Chiaki? // You should spend the night here.
b11) If you wait a little bit, you'll be able to see Franz.
page 3
b1) I'm sorry, but I'm part of an opera production that's starting tomorrow.
b2) I need to get back tonight.
b3) Is that so...
panel) Nodame
b4) Chiaki...
b5) She's an amazing girl,
b6) so I'm sure more amazing things are going to happen for her.
page 4
b1) Yeah.
panel) I have the feeling that we can't go back anymore. // And that goes for everything.
page 5
b1,2) -the newspaper headlines-
b3) Are they talking about a person?
box1) The light hearted looking girl, who the maestro himself found, immedialtely drew us into a whirlpool of awe and bewilderment.
box2) The first movement's 19th century romance was played with beautiful expression.
box3) The lyricism of the second movement was given shape by her personal experiences.
page 6
box1) The subtle direction given from Stresseman's reserved conducting, you felt like this was what this concerto was supposed to sound like.
box2) Then the final movement.
box3) There wasn't a clear contrast from the first movement's heavy expressions to the Rondo's light staccato.
box4) Within the second theme's exquisite rubato,
box5) or the in the final coda, there wasn't a hint of difficulty felt throughout the entire performance, and it left a lasting impression on all that heard.
box6) This was one of those daredevil performances that have become a thing of the past.
b1) huuuh? // What kind of performance was that?
b2) I wanna hear it!!
page 7
b1) huh? // But,
b2) this newspaper gave a totally different report.
b3) "Unique Chopin."
box1) Because she was behind tempo it threw off the balance of the entire orchestra.
box2) Also, the second movement felt more like a funeral march with how it was played.
box3) And the final movement was too interpretive! It was like she was running amock out there!
box4) The rubato almost wasn't there.
b4) They're total opposites...
box5) This could be called Chopin, but this isn't how you interpret Chopin.
panel1) This writer is mad.
b5) Whoa! // Now I want to hear it even more!
b6) What kind of performance was it!?
b7) Hey, they're going to air it on tv tonight.
panel2) Record it please.
