The match between Suguru and Akuma Shogun may have seemed to begun, but there are still some rules that need to be ironed out...luckily, someone who may be close to a legendary judge may just work it out with both of them!

Chapter 199: Gold Mask Arc (40): Enter Justice!!

109.
“Justice”: I’ll undertake the judging of the fight between Justice Choujin and Devil Choujin!
Announcer: A mysterious man has bought into being referee of Kinnikuman vs. Akuma Shogun--!!

110.
Mayumi: There’s…no mistaking! It’s the Judgement God Justice, who was drawn in “The Quarrelling Brothers of Heaven”---!!
Shogun: Hoho—It will be fun to have a god judge the fight between justice and evil, won’t it!!
Suguru: N…no…that man actually looks like Justice, but he looks like another man I know well!!
Suguru: That man’s
Suguru: Name is…

111.
Suguru: Uh--……
“Justice”: It’s been a while!!

112.
Mongol: KINNIKUMAN!!
Terry: Is…isn’t that Mongolman?
Announcer: The true form of the mysterious man is the Mongolian Choujin Mongolman, Kinnikuman’s tag partner from the previous tourney when they rescued Meat who is bound to have his name known around the world—

113.
Suguru: Hm….I know that below that colorful design applied on Mongolman’s face…there is another hidden face…
Shogun: You—are you Mongolman? I don’t know anything on you, but don’t you know the Choujin World law that another Choujin can’t trespass in a one-on-one Choujin showdown!
Mongol: I know that.
Mongol: But even with that rule, there are no rules when two fellow Choujin have a showdown in the ring. I do not mind even if a brutal match occurs. But I absolutely will not forgive a fight that engulfs the other spectators outside the ring!
Shogun: Uuh…
Mongol: The location of your deathmatch is just in the ring…weapons in a deathmatch such as chairs and……

114.
Mongol: Forks can’t be used!
Mongol: You will mutually use techniques that are released from your tempered bodies!
Mongol: I am friends with neither of you, I merely want you to fight with no regrets as representatives of Justice Choujin and Devil Choujin!
Mongol: Fine. Kinnikuman, do you approve of me as your referee?
Suguru: Well, I don’t have a reason to refuse, so I’m good with what you like!
Suguru: Guhehehe, with Mongolman as referee, this will be mine, no problem. The two of us will finish off Akuma Shogun.
Mongol: Fine by you, Akuma Shogun?
Shogun: Hmph, I approve, Mongolman.

115.
Shogun: However, how about you become a mole or such between us and the general audience…
Suguru: What…!?
Shogun: Kukukuku, even if the fight just should occur within the ring, I’ll show him that this will drag in the general spectators.
Suguru: He—y, the tedious talk will be when the match is over!
Suguru: Uh.
Announcer: What is Kinnikuman thinking? He’s running round and round around Akuma Shogun!!
Suguru: Hey, hey, I’ll catch you--!!

116.
Shogun: Chi—
Suguru: Got him! His stance has opened!!
Suguru: Now for the Kinniku Driver—
Suguru: GYA—
Shogun: Hahahaha, Shogun-sama has insight on your poor operation—

117.
Suguru: S**t, so then!
Shogun: Uh.
Suguru: There—my legs are locked in. You’re going down, Shogun-san.
(TN: The joke here is that Suguru uses the more ‘informal’ “san” to address Akuma Shogun instead of the more formal “sama”)
Announcer: Kinnikuman is riding on Shogun’s shoulders this time, giving an Elbow Storm---!!
Shogun: U…uuh…
Suguru: A chance!
Suguru: Sorya—
Suguru: Kinniku Driver!!

118.
Announcer: Kinnikuman is thrown under once again--!!
Shogun: Uwahaha
Suguru: Again, again!
Suguru: Kinniku Driver!!
Shogun: Hahahaha
Suguru: S**t—
Shogun: Hahaha—

119.
Suguru: Ow~~
Mongol: Kinnikuman, why are you fussing with concern on the Kinniku Driver?
Terry: Kinnikuman, change your battle tactic—Akuma Shogun has read your mind on the trick of the Kinniku Driver perfectly!!
Suguru: You say that, but that technique and the Kinniku Buster are the only two I have. Nothing I can do.
Suguru: Though Terry is saying that!
Suguru: Here’s where I change my only attack pattern—
Suguru: Uoooo
Announcer: Kinnikuman has captured Akuma Shogun in an Argentine Backbreaker—
Shogun: Guwahahaha, it’ll be the same no matter how much…I’m the Choujin who can’t feel pain!
Suguru: Wh…what!

120.
Shogun: I’ll show you…that I don’t really have these things called bones. Because I’m a Soft-Body Choujin!
(TN: The beginning of “Soft-Body Choujin” is actually “Nantai Choujin”, which is the beginning of “Nantai Doubutsu”, the Japanese term for a mollusk. Due to their soft, flexible bodies, I adjusted it appropriately for Akuma Shogun)
Shogun: So then, I’ll prove that!
Suguru: Uh.
Suguru: Ge—
Suguru: Uwa~~
Suguru: Hie—
Announcer: Ooh!! That’s the Skull Crush, which broke Buffaloman’s skull earlier--!!

121.
Shogun: The…rope, referee!!
Meat: Break this, referee.
Mongol: As I said earlier, you can’t do a rope break in a rule-free deathmatch within the ring!!
Suguru: Of course, of course. Isn’t that why we have a referee like you?
Terry: Kinnikuman! It’s dangerous to take that for a long time. Hit him into a corner and escape.
Suguru: O—K!
Shogun: Um.
Suguru: I did it.

122.
Shogun: You can’t escape, Kinnikuman!
Suguru: Ge!
Shogun: There—
Meat: Aah…no good. That’s the pose for the Hell Guillotine--!!
Shogun: Hahaha—
Shogun: Take this!!
Shogun: HELL…
Shogun: Uh!!

123.
Shogun: Wh…what’s going on…I…I can’t bend my knee…!?
Announcer: Kinnikuman’s turned around the Hell Guillotine--!!
Suguru: It’s not futile!! I wasn’t doing the Kinniku Driver
Shogun: Aah!!
Suguru: You didn’t notice that your knee was broken when I hit it with my headbutts. Because you’re so thick against pain!!

124.
(Gold Mask Arc)
SPECIAL VTR XII
Buffaloman vs. Akuma Shogun

TN: One thing that I like even if it's a tad cliche is to see how the Justice Choujin turn the strength of a villain against it. Seeing Suguru knock out Akuma Shogun's knees, knowing he can't feel the pain due to his special body, was a smart move and showed that he can work on the fly regarding facing an opponent. On the other hand, I really don't get why Suguru would carry a fork into the ring...didn't they do that joke before way back in the America arc of "the injust Justice Choujin"? I know they were trying to be funny but I guess it got lost on me. As for Mongolman/Ramenman/whoever he's trying to be, I sort of wish he could do more instead of being a plot device...but see this similar to the final battle with Skull Bozu/Devil Magician: he's the judge, he doesn't mind brutality but as long as it's done respectfully. Makes you wish he actually would fight this time around but it's not his fault he came into this arc late.

the sad fact about the knee stuff is that yudetamago essentially repeat the 'don't feel pain, mess up the knees' stuff years later with the Mantaro-Checkmate match in kinnikuman nisei. But then when you're onto a good thing you're gonna repeat it eh :P

great job Ataru, looking forward to the next chapter

The pain bit I knew from Checkmate but I forgot about the knee bit. Thanks for pointing that out.
