SPECIAL VTR I
BUFFALOMAN, REBORN INTO A JUSTICE CHOUJIN

TN: And so we enter a new phase of the Kinnikuman tale: the Dream Choujin Tag arc! It's sort of strange that we would bleed right from the Gold Mask to this arc, but it isn't like they had too much time to go in between these days and...well, with Ashuraman and Sunshine essentially needed from the word go, this had to be done. There are some interesting concepts and thoughts that I have regarding this chapter which begins the set-up...and the first is sort of obvious: this was obviously a ploy to try and let the other Choujin fight Kinnikuman again, "stealing friendship" or whatever is used to make it happen. Considering that the last time a tag arc occurred in this series was way back in America, most of the current allies (or even past allies like Robin Mask) never got the chance to take part in a tag tourney, thus giving them the chance to do so. Although one thing I do find peculiar about this set-up is the complex means to prevent Suguru from aligning with certain characters...but as we'll see later, it just feels more like set-up considering he never even fights any of his so-called "friends" in the first place in this arc! The only other really strange thing about this chapter was just the revelation of Tournament Mountain on Earth...I know that Choujin events happen on Earth quite a bit, but why is there an excuse to have everything here? You'd think that with a vast universe out there, other events could happen elsewhere...but I guess with every hero aside from Suguru representing an Earth nation (and even Suguru is "sort of" Japanese), they have to keep it in a familiar setting lest the kids would get lost in another part of the universe. One final thing: now that we know what Sunshine was in the Akuma Shogun armor...I suddenly feel disturbed.
