ASHURAMAN VS. SPECIALMAN

TN: I can't believe this, but this is probably the most fun I've had with the series in a long time...well sort of but I'll get to that. The first half of the chapter just felt a bit long with the explication but it was sort of important stuff, reminding people of Kamehame, explaining to Suguru the whole "stolen friendship" bit, setting up the Muscle Brothers tag team and getting them ready to enter the tournament. Personally, I sort of had a silly image of Chanelman when Kamehame introduced the costume he will be using to be Kinnikuman Great, but compared to Chanelman...well, this doesn't feel as offensive because the whole body is black, not just the face. (therefore, no blackface) But once Ashuraman and Sunshine showed up, the fun really started! Seeing Ashuraman literally use public opinion on his side from both the audience and the other Choujin in the tournament was probably one of the funniest bits I've seen in a long time. Considering how much the series is inspired by pro wrestling, having a dynamic personality (with six arms) literally move public opinion on his side was just classy, classic stuff. And as if that wasn't fun enough, the Devil Choujin reward Suguru and Kamehame for finally joining the tournament...by peeving off and eliminating the Big Bombers! Anything that humiliates Canadianman and Specialman is funny by my book, particularly with the scenario and how it was done! So all in all, the first half was...OK, but the second half was probably action and comedy at it's best! But the tourney begins next time...so who knows if we'll really get anything more like this soon.
