THE TERRYMAN VS. KING THE 100 TON

TN: I'm not really ashamed to say this but...this is probably my favorite solo Terryman fight in the entire series. I know there are some really weird aspects regarding this fight (some of the weirdest of which was in this chapter), but Terry finally actually gets a fight through King the 100 Ton where he can fully show off all of his skills in the ring without some weird intrusion or a dull or stupid concept getting in his way. The only other fight that sort of comes close to this for me was his one with Skyman way back in the first Choujin Olympics...all the others just...well, were weird or problematic. (Robin Mask: ruined by him being Devil Terry, Mountain: was sort of dull, Ashuraman: the less we say about Warsman's internal organs and the magic arms of Buffaloman the better)

Now for the weird stuff I mentioned: first of all, since when did fighting Choujin need the involvement of molecular physics!? I mean, I could sort of get the whole concept of "break down 100 Ton's armored body and he can't fight back", but to literally say "if we can break him down on the molecular level, then he can't reform", it suddenly takes on a whole new level of bizarre. OK, I sort of get some of what they were intending: by breaking the covalent bonds of the molecules, it can prevent them from being usable by 100 Ton...but what does this have to do with anything in defeating him? Even if they were atoms, he would still have the same mass of 100 Tons as his name suggests...and I can't say it really will affect his transformations since those are tied to the placards! Why couldn't it just be "destroy the metal 'armor/weapon/whatever it is' and be done with it...or even better, why not just do something similar to the start of the fight: attack the parts without the weights like, say, 100 Ton's head, until he is knocked out!? Even if he tries to hide it in himself, he still has it around regardless of his form! Wouldn't it be easier than trying to prove Terry as a physics expert?

And then there was this: how the heck could Terry pull off all those final moves to finish King the 100 Ton when his entire bone structure was shattered by the first Jet Roller See-Saw!? Yeah, Choujin can take a licking and keep on ticking as they mentioned before, but wouldn't it be next-to-impossible for Terry with his entire body broken to do what he did at the end of the fight!? Maybe 100t didn't break him down as badly as he claimed...or maybe some of him was healed via Suguru "flashing his face" near the end. (oh and BTW: I'm not including that silly turn of events as a problem because it's pretty much revenge in my head for what was pulled last chapter: if Mariposa can hold up signs to change 100 Ton, then Suguru can use his "power" to bend the see-saw...just desserts and all that)

But don't let my complaining get to you: regardless of the stupidity of some parts, this is still a super-fun fight and probably Terry's best...but with the rest of the team gone, it's all down to Kinnikuman Mariposa himself...but we'll deal with the new can of worms that opens next time!
