Bikeman thought he finally had Ramenman figured out and prepared to run him over via his ultimate road! But with a slight twist in his destination, has the Justice Choujin finally brought the match closer to his final victory?

Chapter 313: Scramble for the Kinniku Throne (40): Victory for the Living!

67.
Announcer: Continuing from his arms, Bikeman now is going to tear apart Ramenman’s whole body---!!
Bike: Ha—hahaha; take this: Buzzsaw Drive!!
Ramen: Mobius Band Kick!!

68.-69.
Bike: Th…this is!?
Announcer: Ramenman has made an intense kick on the underside of the Superloop Road, twisting the road---!!
Bike: Uwa!!
Announcer: Somehow due to Ramenman, Bikeman has hit the twisted road with his tire, springing him out-----!!

70.
Suguru: How could this be happening?
Robin: He’s practically applying a Mobius Band!
Suguru: What’s that?
Robin: Well, I made one when I was a child: it is a curved surface where you twist one side of a long and narrow rectangular paper just 180-degrees and then paste the ends together…
Suguru: Ooh, now you mention it, I did make that. I did play with it: that curved surface is good for training cockroaches.
Suguru: When training the roaches on that curved surface, in the midst of the lap for the roaches that should have crawled to the inside, they were crawling outside unaware. It’s was a curious curved surface……
Suguru: Ah!!

71.
Suguru: Of…course: Ramenman sprang Bikeman, who was driving on the inside of the Superloop Road, to the outside like those cockroaches with that Mobius Band!!
Audience: As expected of Ramenman, the Choujin Professor!! The greatest genius in the universe---!!
(TN: Wait…I thought Robin was the Choujin Professor?)
Announcer: Well, Bikeman, who was sprung from the Superloop Road, is being pursued by Ramenman!!
Announcer: Ramenman has taken Bikeman, who crashed into the wire-screen and bounced off.

72.
Ramen: Oklahoma Stampede!!
Announcer: Bikeman, who was thrown into the canvas, has returned from motorcycle form to human form.
Suguru: Now’s your chance, Ramenman!!
Ramen: Uuh, my leg…
Announcer: Has the attack-thrower Ramenman injured his right leg when he released the Mobius Band Kick earlier----!!
Bike: Kukuku…you were fine until the success of your counterattack, but due to that, you took a serious injury to your right leg…

73.
Bike: Ramenman, rea…really, these beings called “Living Choujin”, including you, have a habit of running swiftly without thinking of consequence…
(TN: “Living” in “Living Choujin” is “Namami”, which includes other meanings such as “flesh and blood” or just a being who is biologically alive)
Ramen: Ow…
Announcer: Ramenman is down again---!!
Bike: We…we Machine Choujin always fa…face things with calm judgment…
Bike: Fe…feelings like yours doesn’t sh…shake…us…
Announcer: Bikeman is straining his little remaining power to create a motocross-style temporary jump stand.
Bike: Mo…Motorcycle
Bike: Change!!

Terry: Ramenman, how could a perfect Choujin of your extent get injured by your own technique…
Wars: The instantaneous judgment for a Machine Choujin truly far and away surpasses that of a Living Choujin!
Terry: !
Terry: Warsman, you’re always saying that because half of your body is machine, just like Bikeman; isn’t your speech now inexcusable!!

75.
Wars: Listen, Terryman!
Wars: Even with our calm, precise judgment, we Machine Choujin are beings who can’t lose to Living Choujin.
Terry: …………
Wars: That was my prediction with the developments of the match! How did the match that I fought in develop before? Just this far, they are beings who have possessed wild instinct. Living Choujin can’t win against them.
Wars: Actually, in the finals of the Choujin Olympics: The Big Fight four years ago, though I took out being much more superior to my opponent Kinnikuman, in the end Kinnikuman had his comeback due to my personal idiosyncrasy that I couldn’t fight over 30 minutes…If I had realized my predisposition that I couldn’t fight long, I would have defeated Kinnikuman in a short fight…however, Kinnikuman predicted that factor in advance and the battle was made to be a long fight on purpose……
Wars: Ramenman, who holds that genius-like fighting spirit, was a person who helplessly stood there while getting injured by my technique.
Terry: Th…therefore, since Ramenman is predicting something, he injured his own right leg on purpose so he can call out Bikeman’s attack!!
Wars: Wh...what are you saying will happen, what…

76.
Terry: Ooh—the chains that are hanging the Thunderdome from the ceiling are---!!
Caption: HIMEJI CASTLE—
Suguru: Get up, Ramenman!!
Ramen: U…uo…
Bike: Bike: No…how much you struggle, both your arms and your right leg are torn up…you can never get up…

77.
Announcer: Bikeman is fully releasing his power for his final jump---!!
Ramen: Bikeman, I truly admire the calm, cool and collective judgment of you Machine Choujin.

78.
Bike: Kill the Skydive---!!
Ramen: However, being able to read one or two steps ahead in a match is for novices---!!
Bike: What!?
Announcer: Somehow, Ramenman still has spare energy left to avoid Bikeman’s attack---!!

79.
Zebra: AAH…
Suguru: The self-destruction of Bikeman’s technique is shaking the Thunderdome!!
Announger: Geee—the shock of Bikeman’s self-destruction has completely broken the chains holding the Thunderdome on the ceiling, leaving only one---!!

80.
Ramen: Now!!
Announcer: Wh…what’s going on: Ramenman is suddenly dealing consecutive body blows to the inside of the Thunderdome!!
Robin: Look: with the Thunderdome’s stability worsening with one chain supporting it, Ramenman has started to rotate the wire-screen with merely a slight impact presented from the inside!!
Announcer: This much rotation to the wire-screen means Bikmean can’t use his prided killer motorcycle techniques!!

81.
Suguru: If…perhaps on top of Ramenman estimating that he could cut five of the six chains supporting the Thunderdome from the start, he may have injured his right leg on purpose to call out Bikeman’s self-destructive Skydive…
Robin: If that’s how it is, then that’s Ramenman’s level of miraculous reading and insight! The delivery of these broken chains is surely a feat that can’t be imitated by a Machine Choujin!!
Wars: …………
Wars: R…Ramenman, you’re as cool as ever today.
Terry: Understand well that what’s important in a fight isn’t just magnificent techniques and overbearing power.

82.
Announcer: Within Ramenman’s repetitive body blows on the Thunderdome, a tornado-like object is materializing in the center due to the wind pressure—
Bike: Hi…Hiya…
Bike: Uwa--!!
Announcer: Bikeman is caught in the tornado occurring through the rotation of the Thunderdome----!!
Announcer: The huge tornado is making Bikeman fly out of the Thunderdome---!!

83.
Announcer: Ramenman has placed Bikeman in the stance for his new technique, the Jiulong Cheng Drop----!!
Ramen: JIULONG CHENG DROP!!

84.
Announcer: Finally getting victory by piling on patience and endurance, Ramenman has defeated Bikeman, gaining his second victory—

85.
Suguru: Ramenman.
Suguru: Thank you for your fantastic battle.
Voice: Fufufu…Team Kinnikuman: you shouldn’t have defeated Bikeman. Even if it was impossible, Ramenman should have lost. If he had, then you would have ended up without going onto the hellish road of fierce fighting that starts from here…
Suguru: Ge—Zebra and Parthenon of Team Zebra have disappeared!!

SPECIAL VTR XXXIII
RAMENMAN VS. BIKEMAN

TN: To tell the truth, I actually had, or should have had, a whole rant thrown together for this chapter...but let me just say I'm a bit tired after a long strange weekend so I'm just going to go with bullet points to make it short and sweet:

-Though I've been complaining a lot this fight about him pretty much deciding the entire make-up of the squad, I do actually like Bikeman. It's not every day you do get a belligerent equivalent of a Choujin Transformer...no, not a "transformer" that can change into things (like Sneagator or Sunshine) but as "Transformer" like the toy line (and overrated cartoon franchise). Heck, I even loved the skull under his helmet.
-Ramenman was cool and we knew he would stay several steps ahead of Bikeman in the end particularly with that chain manipulation leading to the final Jiulong Chen Drop...but I think that, once again, he's being overthrown into the hypemobile by everyone like he invented the wheel or Choujin wrestling. As much as I don't like Robin, he is the one who should have the "Choujin Professor" name since he got it first and is actually teaching with it...yeah, for those who read Nisei, Ramenman does it too but that hasn't happened yet!
-Somehow it would have been cooler if something like Suguru's roach experiment happened with the Mobius Bikeman was riding on: instead of being thrown off, he could have just kept going blindly without realzing it until being kicked off by Ramenman. (though that first shot with it in the double-page spread reminded me of...one of the scariest logos in TV history)
-It's strange with Warsman's speech this time that the heroic Choujin haven't fought more self-described "Machine Choujin" considering the trouble he himself (and Bikeman) have given the Justice Choujin. I guess machines never seem to start off as good guys, huh?
-The end of the chapter...hoo boy, we're about to open another can of worms that should just not be thrown into this sort of series. But...I'm tired so I'll leave that be for the moment. (well next time we'll really let it have it!)
