Scramble for the Kinniku Throne (78): Quiet Anger!!
-> RTS Page for Kinnikuman 351
With the tragic but convincing sacrifice of Ashuraman, Team Kinnikuman has finally surpassed the second-barrier and broken into Osaka Castle! Yet now that they're in, the fun can truly start, particularly for Ramenman and Prisman!
Chapter 351: Scramble for the Kinniku Throne (78): Quiet Anger!!
130.
Phoenix, Mammoth & “Cloaked”: …………!!
Suguru: Why are you this surprised, Super Phoenix-san…
Phoenix: Awawa…Team Kinnikuman, all of you should have been crushed by the needle-attached ceiling that was falling from above without coming to completely open the Blood-Rope-Binding Gate----!!
131.
Prism: It’s terrible—Phoenix-sama----!!
Prism: I was searching the underground passage of Osaka Castle now and the Blood-Rope-Binding Gate, which should be absolutely impossible to open or close, had been opened!!
Phoenix: Wh…what: the Blood-Rope-Binding Gate shouldn’t open unless there is a person wearing armor dyed in deep red blood without any spaces…Kinnikuman’s armor was only sprayed with the blood of parasite Satan Cross when he defeated Satan Cross…the gate shouldn’t have opened with the blank spot around the chest section due to not being sprayed with the deathbed blood of Samson Teacher.
Suguru: UWA!!
132.
Phoenix: Geee: the blank chest area of Kinnikuman’s Defend Suit is dyed with fresh blood----!!
Phoenix: Wh…where did you get your hands on blood to fill up that blank space---!?
Phoenix: Further, it’s impossible to open the Blood-Rope-Binding Gate with merely blood; it should be the deathbed blood of a Choujin just before they die----!!
Ramen: Phoenix, this may be far beyond the power of cruel Choujin like all of you but…you could open even a gate that is impossible to open or close when you have our Friendship Power.
Suguru: R…right: even being able to fill the blank area of this Defend Suit was due to the noble sacrifice of a valuable friend…
133.
Ashura: Kinnikuman, we must fill the blank chest part of your Defend Suit with the blood of a Choujin on the verge of death to open the Blood-Rope-Binding Gate.
Ashura: Due to this, we’re filling the blank chest are with blood from me committing hari-kiri (seppuku) now---!!
(TN: I’m leaving both meanings here since both “hari-kiri” and “seppuku” are appropriate for “slicing open the stomach for committing suicide”)
Ramen: Ashuraman!!
Ashura: Gugugu………
Suguru: Ooh: Ashuraman’s blood is going into the blank chest section of the Defend Suit!!
134.
Suguru: Wh…what is this light---!?
Suguru: Ooh: the blood I was given conversely for the life of Ashuraman is opening the Blood-Rope-Binding Gate which was stubbornly shut!!
135.
Ashura: H…hurry---everyone—to…Osaka Castle-----!!
Ramen: Ashuraman, you’re with serious injury, getting abandoned so just we can advance further.
Ashura: Wh…what’s with the whitewashing…by all of us dying here and the incarnation of evil Phoenix taking the seat of the throne of Planet Kinniku before our eyes…
Ashura: And…for the future of the Choujin world…the…the sacrifice has to be just me alone; the rest of you has to become one and crush Team Phoenix in the ring of O…Osaka Castle…
Ashura: Ashuraman!!
Ashrua: Well, we only have five seconds left; hurry---!!
136.
Suguru: Forgive us, Ashuraman!!
137.
Suguru: It surely was a manly end, just like a prince of the Demon World. My only regret is that I wanted him to head to his sleep once more wearing the equipping items of the Ashura Family, which Ashuraman had thrown away from his body so we would take out my Defend Suit from the Magic-Square ring.
Prism: Kyokyokyo—the naked body of Ashuraman’s body without his equipment items will have to endure the cold of the underground tunnel of Osaka Castle.
Suguru: Gee—Ashuraman’s equipping items are in Prisman’s hands!!
Prism: After the Kinnikuman and Satan Cross match, I took these things that were clinging to nine windows of the Magic-Square ring.
138.
Prism: These are completely useless things with the master that equips them now dead.
Suguru: Wh…what are you doing!?
Prism: Great sun, present your shine to me---!!
Audience: The light of the sun shining in the castle is being sucked into Prisman’s body.
Prism: Rainbow Shower!!
139.
Robin: That’s the Seven Capillaria Rays: the ultimate weakness of Choujin that tormented Brocken Jr----!!
Prism: Rainbow Shower!!
Suguru: AAH!!
140.
Prism: Kyokyokyo—
Robin: Wh…what has he done…
Suguru, Geronimo & Robin: You—we can’t put up with any of you anymore--!!
Prism: Interesting: shall we do it---!!
141.
Ramen: Hold on, everyone!!
Ramen: What are you doing quarrelling in this place: our settlement with Team Phoenix will be in the ring to the very end…
Suguru: Ra…Ramenman, you’re…no…not mortified---!?
Geronimo: This is mortifying.
Ramen: But is it good to get hurt crudely in a place outside the ring these lives that were saved by Ashuraman!? Wouldn’t this make Ashuraman’s deed all for nothing---!!
Geronimo: R…right: I want to go by what Ramenman said.
Ramen: Phoenix, don’t use any weird tricks like the barriers in that earlier underground hell anymore.
Phoenix: Got it.
142.
Phoenix: Ahead will be the Second-Guard match, going in turn from the 1st floor…2nd floor will be the Main-Body match, 3rd floor is the Second-in-Command match, the 4th floor will be the General match.
Window Captions:
1ST FLOOR: SECOND-GUARD MATCH
2ND FLOOR: MAIN-BODY MATCH
3RD FLOOR: SECOND-IN-COMMAND MATCH
4TH FLOOR: GENERAL MATCH
Phoenix: And then, whoever can get through these matches, whether myself or Kinnikuman, will inherit the throne of the king from the hand of Kinniku Daiou waiting on the 5th floor.
Ramen: So then, this means this 1st floor is the Second-Guard match of myself and Prisman?
Prism: Ramenman, I’ve prepared an interesting showdown method for my battle with you.
Ramen: Gee—the ring is splitting in two…!?
143.
Ramen: Wh…what—are these countless iron pipes---!?
Ramen: Gee, they’re putting themselves together by themselves!!
Robin: I’ve…seen this form somewhere!!
Suguru: Right: this form is the entirely the form of a jungle gym which I played a lot on when I was young!!
144.
Prism: Correct: the settlement between me and Ramenman will be held on top of this big jungle gym----!!
(TN: Prisman actually calls it a “jungle big gym”, but since that feels very “engrish”, I ended up changing it to “big jungle gym”)
145.

Team Kinnikuman Second-Guard RAMENMAN VS. Team Phoenix Second-Guard PRISMAN (BIG JUNGLE GYM SKYSCRAPER DEATH MATCH)
Announcer: Well, now the gong has rung for the first Big Jungle Gym Skyscraper Death Match in the history of Choujin wrestling----!!
Prism: The rule for this death match is simple! In general, if you knock your opponent down on top of the nail boards beneath the jungle gym, you take the match!! Let’s go, always calm and quiet Ramenman-san!!
Prism: Rainbow Shower!!
Suguru: Run away, Ramenma—n!!
146.
Announcer: Bu…but, Ramenman isn’t moving from his place; is it do to this unfamiliar place---!!
Ramen: Prisman, why is it I’m not moving…this is a passage for wind that blows from the window behind me to the window over there; in short, it’s windward…
Ramen: And thus, the place where you’re standing…
Ramen: Over there is leeward---!!
(TN: I ended up using some technical terms not usually used: “windward” is “where the wind blows”, while “leeward” is the direction downwind from the direction of the wind and usually is the target from which the windward direction blows. These are usually used in nautical means: the windward side of a ship is the side of the ship facing the wind, the leeward side is the side of the ship where the wind is going to hit)
Prism: Gee!!
Announcer: Somehow Ramenman was standing to the windward, patiently waiting in the place where it can come out for Prisman while blocking it with his own back---!! Prisman’s balance has been destroyed by the wind---!!
147.
Ramen: Prisman, you had spoken that my personality is always calm and composed, but
Ramen: I am bitterer than even my allies for all of you driving Ashuraman to his death!!
Ramen: RAGING-FIRE SUN LEG!!
(TN: Probably could also be translated as “Raging-Fire Sun Kick” with “kyaku” but “kyaku” is “leg”, not “kick”)

PRISMAN VS. ASHURAMAN
TN: Well, I've been doing this quite a bit lately, so here is a bit of music to help out this chapter:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1tj2zJ2Wvg (appropriate...I think)
Well...in a weird way, having something like a match based on a jungle gym is strange but somewhat fun for a series like this. For some reason I actually expected a jungle gym match in a series like Bo-bobo, but having it in a wrestling match, particularly in a match of an acrobatic warrior (Ramenman) and a giant blocky one (Prisman) should make it fun.
The only really strange thing I find with this chapter is the whole "connection" that Ramenman has regarding Ashuraman and his sacrifice all of a sudden. We knew from the start of the finals that Ramenman wanted to take on Prisman entirely for one reason: he humiliated Brocken Jr. and lead to his own sacrificial death. The relationship and connection between Brocken and Ramenman is standard and well known by this point so it is obvious that he would head into this Prisman fight taking him on for his sake. But the whole scenario where he also wants to get back at Prisman for Ashuraman...the only thing Prisman did was destroy his outfit and it wasn't like the others weren't getting angry for him spitting on his sacrifice. I get that it incites Ramenman more to take out Prisman but it still feels a tad forced: we all know what Ashuraman did now and we know Ramenman is fighting next, but to suddenly give him this connection like the two were friends all this time (when in reality he wasn't even around when they faced him in the Gold Mask arc and essentially was trying to merely stop some of the nonsense he was pulling in the Tag arc...and that's about the limit they had prior to him showing up in the Satan Cross fight) just feels less like the honest sacrifice of the previous chapter...and more like typical friendship crap this series is good at spewing out. Though one thing I did like: him making Phoenix promise to not use any cruel or stupid tricks like the maze and the blood barrier again. (though I doubt that's going to last for long)
Oh and one more stupid thought: Ashuraman is now doing the same thing Ramenman said the last time about "the future of all Choujin"...every time some Choujin says that between now and the end of this series, I seriously should give them a copy of Nisei to show what their "future" entails. (Ashuraman really isn't going to like his...)
