Even with Neptuneman disguising himself to show his identity in public, Geronimo has decided to no longer take his help and wants to sacrifice himself to Omegaman's Catastrophe Drop! Can anything stop this decision!?

Chapter 360: Scramble for the Kinniku Throne (87): Evidence of the Fake Prince!!

127.
Announcer: The mysterious samurai-style Choujin has had the Miracle Ash that was thrown to rescue Geronimo kicked back like its being rejected by Geronimo--!!
Neptune: Geronimo, what are you doing!!
Geronimo: I’m immature in my abilities but, for the moment, I am second-in-command of Team Kinnikuman! I have a plan to escape from this type of technique even without help---!!

128.
Geronimo: You---if I accept the Miracle Ash, then that samurai Choujin could be ascertained somehow as the being Neptuneman had transformed into…if it comes to it, then I’ll teach him this technique’s true terror---!!
Announcer: Omegaman, who has captured Geronimo into the stance of a Catastrophe Drop, is attacking thrusting with increasing acceleration---!!

129.
Geronimo I’m…sorry that I am not taking your long-awaited favor…Choujin who apparently is…Neptuneman…bu…but, if I take the ash now…you who has finally escaped from Choujin Enma and living in tranquility will come to be swallowed in the swirl of battle once again…
Neptune: ……………
Geronimo: JUST THAT…JUST THAT I CAN’T DO---!!

130.
Announcer: He’s on the verge of falling into the stone-wall ring, but Geronimo isn’t showing an indication he’s returning the Catastrophe Drop at all----!!
Suguru: That Geronimo: he didn’t have a plan to return the Catastrophe Drop from the start---!!
Suguru: That mysterious samurai Choujin has finally thrown the Miracle Ash and yet…would it be like this if he obediently took this favor…
Suguru: But why would Geronimo renounce the Miracle Ash to the point of telling that lie?
Robin: He’s protecting someone.

131.
Robin: Because if he took the Miracle Ash, some person would be exposed to danger.
Suguru: Wh…what person is it: who is this person Geronimo is protecting even by sacrificing his own body?
Suguru: ……Suppose it’s the missing Neptuneman!?
Suguru: Ooh, that reminds me: is that samurai Choujin holding the Miracle Ash that somehow raised the figure of big bro Ataru!?
Suguru: That massive chest and thick legs!
Suguru: And that left arm with just bruises that tells of a number of unknown battles more than anything!!

132.-133.
Omega: Mysterious samurai Choujin: if you reveal right now that your true identity is the Perfect Choujin Neptuneman, then I’ll discontinue smashing Geronimo’s head!!
Suguru: Is that samurai Choujin’s true identity really the Perfect Choujin Neptuneman---!?
Omega: Right: if you won’t reveal your true identity, then it’s come to this---!!
Announcer: Omegaman’s Catastrophe Drop has exploded into the stone-wall canvas---!! Is there nothing more that Geronimo can do now---!?
Narrator: At that moment, as Geronimo surrendered to Omegaman—the trio of Great King Kinniku, the Queen and Bibimba, who had snuck away from the top floor of Osaka Castle Tower, had descended to the 3rd Floor immediately above the 2nd Floor where the deathmatch was playing out—
Mayumi: Th…there was some hard-breaking sound now, surely it’s the sound of Geronimo’s head being smashed…
Sayuri: Aah—yet another young Choujin of the future has become a victim of the Kinniku Clan’s family troubles---!!
Bibimba: Daiou-sama, we can’t be here forever…if we don’t go down quickly and stop the match……

134.
Mayumi: Someone’s coming!
Sayuri: A pursuer?
Bibimba: Daiou-sama, shall I go over there!?
Bibimba: Whose there---!?
Meat: Wha!!
Meat: Pl…please just hold on, it’s me.
Bibimba: Oh, Meat-kun!
Meat: --Really, Daiou-sama, don’t be so cruel with this behavior in doing a favor for a person.
Mayumi: Sorry, sorry Meat-chan, don’t get angry…

135.
Mayumi: So, Meat, what are you talking about?
Meat: OK: I who was injured and hospitalized in the Osaka Choujin Hospital…
Meat: Got radio communicated instructions from Daiou-sama in Osaka Castle…
Meat: And instantly road on a spaceship towards the Planet Kinniku 8th Choujin Hospital.
Mayumi: So then, is this the X-ray pictures of the Fated Prince who possesses the illness in his heart, which is evidence of the Fake Prince as written in the Prophecy?
Meat: Please listen to my story first.

136.
Meat: In the long time that I have gone to the 8th Choujin Hospital, which is famous for being first in the many patients it can hold on Planet Kinniku, I had come back to it having ominously sunken, without hearing one voice of a person.—
Meat: Entering inside, there had come to already be not even one doctor, nurse or in-patients; the rooms in the hospital and the equipment had fallen into waste; it had surely changed into ruins.—
(TN: Weird note: “nurse” in Japanese here is “kangofu”, which specifically is a “female nurse”)
Meat: --And as I located the Record Room, which is placed the questionable X-ray picture.
Meat: I was surprised going in.
Meat: Somehow the shelves used to sort the records and X-ray pictures were broken…it was wasted inside too…it was there that I finally understood how this 8th Choujin Hospital had been ruined.

137.
Meat: Someone had chased out the people that were here and destroyed the inside of the hospital so they could find the X-ray picture that was evidence of the Fake Prince…
Mayumi: So then, it was after the X-ray picture of the Fake Prince was already taken away by someone…
Meat: No, please listen to my story until the end.
Meat: I too gave up that someone had taken away the picture as expected and departed outside when…somehow there was a man who had fallen face-down from within the mountain of records broken into and scattered around……
Meat: I immediately woke him up and this man was dyed with blood on his face……
Meat: ……It was the head doctor of the 8th Hospital…
Doctor: So…someone suddenly attacked the hospital…
Doctor: U…under the floor over there is the X…X-ray pictures of the Six…Fated Princes of…Planet…Kinniku…

138.
Meat: A safe.
Doctor: It’s…there…
Meat: HEAD DOCTOR!!
Meat: I immediately opened the safe desperately protected by the Head Doctor and inside was the X-ray pictures of the center area of the Six Fated Princes within six square envelopes—
Mayumi: You have it—the X-ray pictures of the Six Fated Princes---!?
Meat: This is one sheet within the X-ray pictures photographed in the central section of the Six Fated Princes.

139.
Meat: Daiou-sama, a light!
Mayumi: Ooh, this heart crack is!! It…really is: a Choujin with an illness in his heart among the Six Fated Princes!!
Mayumi: According to the Prophecy, it is written that the Choujin who has the illness in his heart certainly will advance to the Finals…and then in the ring of the finals, the crack in his heart will increasingly spread from too much fierce fighting and before long will burst he’ll stop breathing…the Choujin who stops breathing is the Fake Prince and the Choujin who survives will be the true Throne Successor of Planet Kinniku…

140.
Bibimba: So then, one within Suguru-sama or Phoenix is a Fake Prince who has the illness in his heart of this X-ray picture…
Mayumi: Y…yes, that’s how it is.
Bibimba: !
Bibimba: Daiou-sama~~~!!
Sayuri: What’s wrong, Bibimba-chan?
Bibimba: A wiretap mike!!
Mayumi: What~~~so then, our conversation now was tapped into by someone---!!
Sayuri, Bibimba and Meat: Eeh!?

141.
Announcer: The deadly struggle of Omegaman and Geronimo surely has met with “catastrophe”, as in the name of Omegaman’s special hold, due to Geronimo’s self-destructive act---!!
(TN: Yet another weird translation for “catastrophe” in Japanese here: “shuuen”, which is Japanese for “demise”)
Suguru: GE…GERONIMO……
Phoenix: Ha—hahaha: Omegaman, I send praise of your magnificent victory……
Omega: I’m thankful for your blessing.

142.
Phoenix: Goho goho: this bloody cough again!!
Mammoth: Phoenix-sama, it seems there are four mice on the 3rd Floor of this Osaka Castle.
Phoenix: Just as planned: the Great King and Queen have escaped the top floor and were caught by the wiretap mike I’ve laid on the 3rd Floor Ring.
Mammoth: Yes: furthermore, they’re together with the item of matter that we had become frantic in searching for.
Phoenix: Alright: let’s go to the 3rd Floor at once.
Audience: AAH…
Suguru: The chairs Phoenix and Mammothman are sitting on are rising---!!

143.
Suguru: Hey, samurai guy, if your true identity is Neptuneman, then Geronimo had died so he could rescue you from the evil power of Omegaman, who will send you back to the Choujin Graveyard----!!
Suguru: Don’t you have even one word of apology for Geronimo---!!
Suguru: Goho goho: that cough again!!
Robin: Are you alright, Kinnikuman?
Voice: KYAA

144.
Mayumi & Sayuri: Suguru---!!
Bibimba: Suguru-sama!!
Phoenix: Kinnikuman, since these four mice were creeping around the 3rd Floor ring, I caught them alive.
Suguru: Papa, mama, Meat, Bibimba!!
Mayumi: Suguru, I have an important thing so we can stop this Scramble for the Throne.
Mayumi: Ah!!
Phoenix: Kinnikuman, our team has left the three members of Omegaman, Mammothman and I, but your team now just has left only General Robin Mask. Is it right for the three of us to face Robin alone?
Suguru: Gu…Gumu---!!

145.
Phoenix: It’s a proposal here but, Kinnikuman, how about you return to the battle lines one more time, team up in a tag-team with Robin and fight a tag-team of the three of us?
Suguru: A 3-on-2 irregular tag match!!
Bibimba: Suguru-sama, it’s their trap---!!
Phoenix: I really like strong-minded women.

SPECIAL VTR LXXV (XXXXXXXV)
GERONIMO VS. OMEGAMAN

TN: Ladies and gentlemen: it finally makes sense. What makes sense, you ask? The whole "connection" between Phoenix and Bibimba, of course! While this scene may or may not cause controversy (though it's not as bad as...next chapter...let alone the whole anime faction who is like "who is she and where is Mari?" when this scene occurred...even if Bibimba was sort of animated prior in a movie), the connections that Yude (probably unintentionally) made just make sense now:

1. Though he is supposed to be from Planet Kinniku or from an associated part of the Kinniku Clan, Phoenix is stated back in his profile as being from "Australia".
2. Bibimba had an utter look transformation, akin to Olivia Newton-John at the end of "Grease".
3. Though born in Cambridge, Olivia Newton-John is considered an icon...from/of Australia.

Thus...do the math.

With that said...I'm sort of in awe in how they tried, but utterly screwed up, the revelation this chapter regarding the X-ray of the heart of the "Fated Prince with the heart condition". I don't mind them trying considering "if they got the right X-ray and knew who it was, they could use it to stop the tourney." (even if it's obvious with who the one with the heart condition is considering how he attacked the hospital and chased everyone out of it). But there are two factors that screw it up:

1. How would the doctors there know that the data would be important someday to lock it away in a vault? It is important to know but...with all that goes on, wouldn't they just keep it as regular files somewhere without pulling it back up so randomly?
2. WHY DIDN'T THEY LABEL WHO THOSE WERE FOR!? How could the doctors not just label who those were for? For all we know, the Muscle Prophecy is wrong (yeah, wish it was) and that's Big Body's X-ray with the heart problem! Don't doctors at least keep track of their own work and label things?

There is also the suddenness of "Meat within a matter of about an hour gets out of the hospital, flies to Planet Kinniku, gets the X-rays and comes back"...but of course that would be looking for any further sense that doesn't exist in this series of madness...let alone Phoenix's "just as planned" bit in claiming it was all set up so this would come to this. It is just mad thinking about it.

There actually is one more thing I really want to talk about before departing...strangely though it wasn't the original intention but it works. As I've worked my way through to the end of the series, I've been sort of giving my final thoughts about one certain character after another with the end of each of their respective fights. But the thing is that Geronimo has only really been with the series since the Gold Mask arc and really is more just "one of many ally Choujin to come along...but the one that has lasted the longest due to the increasing lengths of arcs by this point". So in a way, this isn't just the end of the line for him...but also the end of the line for Choujin like Wolfman, Canadianman, Specialman, Pentagon, Curry Cook, Skyman, Jessie Malvia, Crystalman, Puyo-Puyo...in a way, every ally Choujin who was never really "evil" but fought or worked with Suguru and the others. There are just many Choujin who aren't going to be as important or as major as Suguru, Terry, Robin, Brocken, Warsman, Ramenman and even Buffaloman. There are many Choujin we've seen that have always been good or slightly antagonistic, some at the start of the series, some just introduced a few chapters ago. Many of them had a moment to shine, others had none such and were nothing more than cameos...and then we have ones who were sort of important allies but didn't do as much as the others like Wolfman and, as I started with, Geronimo. I have variable feelings for all of them, some I found had great moments but similarly had stupid moments where they just didn't worked (Geronimo), some who were just jokes or stupid from start to finish (Wolfman), some who were just meant to be jokes and nothing more (Canadianman and Specialman) and some who I really wished became real allies (Crystalman...maybe Koubellman after seeing the Kinnikuman Lady version of the Choujin Olympics) but they all had a part to play in the series.
