He's tormented him, throwing him from one hell to another. Now, with very few options left in the tournament, Phoenix may have to device the ultimate means to finally get his showdown with Suguru...even at the cost of...Bibimba!?

Chapter 361: Scramble for the Kinniku Throne (88): The Ropes of Fate!!

147.
Phoenix: I really like strong-minded women!

148.
Bibimba: ………
Suguru: Aah!!
Bibimba: ………!
Phoenix: Fufufu, it’s the first time he’s seen a kiss over there…
Suguru: …………
Robin: Hey, Kinnikuman, what’s wrong?
Suguru: Je t’a~~~ime, Robin~~~n!! Let’s kiss~~~~!!
(TN: Yeah, Suguru does say “I love you” in French here, which is “je t’aime”…and yeah, this is just the most wrong scene in this series…ever.)
Robin: W…wha! Kinnikuman, what are you doing!?

149.
Meat: Pr…Prince hasn’t encountered this until now: with this abnormal action, we can’t know how well he’s reacting to this really shocking incident ……uuh…
Robin: Kinnikuma—n!!
Suguru: Huh!!
Mayumi: Pho…Phoenix, how could a person like you do this…
Sayuri: Bibimba-chan is a queen candidate for Suguru, the prince of Planet Kinniku.
Bibimba: Wah---!!
Phoenix: That’s not inexcusable. As queen candidate for the prince of Planet Kinniku, if I take the championship of this Survival Match and become Great King of Planet Kinniku, then I can say she’ll become Phoenix-sama’s queen.

150.
Mayumi & Sayuri: A…aah~~~!!
Phoenix: A first-class man needs a woman who has first-class intelligence and grace. Bibimba, you have both! I am pleased with you!
Phoenix: In the event of my taking the Throne of Planet Kinniku, I promise to usher you in as my wife…
Bibimba: Suguru-sama~~~!!
Suguru: …………
Phoenix: How about it, Kinnikuman: are you OK with an army corp showdown with my alliance team with Mammothman and Omegaman vs. a team of you and Robin also for the lovely Bibimba?
Suguru: Uuh……

151.
Suguru: Uuh~~
Mayumi & Sayuri: Suguru---!
Bibimba: Suguru-sama---!!
Suguru: Bi…Bibimba…I’m really sorry for you but…you don’t have any connection to me; you were arbitrarily chosen by my father and mother that you’re my queen candidate…
Bibimba: !
Meat: Pr…Prince…
Mayumi & Sayuri: Suguru, what is this…

152.
Suguru: Bibimba, with that, now you must quickly lead Ramenman and Geronimo, who have collapsed from their injuries, to the hospital for me…
Bibimba: …………
Suguru: I can’t stand in the ring for that sort of reason…
Suguru: So then, the showdown from now will be as first planned: I want to have a showdown of Team Phoenix Main Body Omegaman, who defeated Geronimo, and Team Kinnikuman General Robin Mask.
Sign (not linking the lines for the matches run, which speak for themselves):
TEAM KINNIKUMAN VS. TEAM PHOENIX
GENERAL: ROBIN MASK – KINNIKUMAN SUPER PHOENIX: GENERAL
SECOND-IN-COMMAND: GERONIMO – MAMMOTHMAN SECOND-IN-COMMAND
MAIN BODY: ALEXANDRIA MEAT – OMEGAMAN: MAIN BODY
SECOND-GUARD: RAMENMAN – PRISMAN: SECOND-GUARD
ADVANCE-GUARD: KINNIKUMAN – SATAN CROSS: ADVANCE GUARD

153.
Mayumi: Suguru—Bibimba-san rescued me and mama from the top floor of Osaka Castle by risking her life.
Sayuri: Even saying that, it all was done so we could meet up with all of you---!!
Meat: Prince, I really do like that you’re the prince, but I can’t support you for just now---!!
Robin: Is this right, Kinnikuman?
Suguru: Do you think I’ll throw away my friendship of men with Ramenman and Geronimo for a woman---!! Even so, if I’m added into an army-corp showdown with this piece-of-junk body, Robin, I’ll just be dragging your legs!!
Bibimba: Is this right, Suguru-sama?
Bibimba: I’ve already decided: I’ll become the wife to the man who leads the team to whoever is champion of Team Kinnikuman and Team Phoenix in this Throne Succession Survival Match.

154.
Phoenix: Though you’re a woman, that is a manly decision.
Suguru: ………!
Phoenix: I am pleased with you more and more.
Phoenix: I will win against Team Kinnikuman and absolutely will make you my wife.
Robin: Kinnikuman!!
Suguru: ……………………

155.
Bibimba: ………Uh……
Suguru: He…hey, you pervert!!
Suguru: Take your dirty hands off of Bibimba’s body right now!!
Robin: Kinnikuman.
Suguru: Robin, until now, I haven’t moved forth except for the friendship of male warriors but, ju…just now, I will move for a woman---!!

156.
Suguru: I’m sorry, Geronimo, that I can’t take you to the hospital.
Suguru: Super Phoenix, we’ll be taking that tag army-corp showdown of Team Kinnikuman vs. Team Phoenix as you’ve proposed---!!
Phoenix: Finally, Kinnikuman: the time has come for my fight to the finish with you!!

157.
Mayumi: Uoo---! Good going, Suguru—this is the path to take to being a sympathetic man--!!
Sayuri: Dear, have you forgotten exactly for what reason we have descended from the top floor of Osaka Castle to here!?
Mayumi: Th…that’s right: we came down to to let Suguru and Phoenix know of the illness in the heart of the Fake Prince between those two and to stop this match before this Prince’s condition deteriorates.
Mayumi: …However, the heart X-ray photo, which has become evidence of the Fake Prince that was taken from the hospital on Planet Kinniku where the Six Fated Princes were born has been confiscated…
Phoenix: Kinnikuman, I expected I’d certainly undertake this army-corp showdown with you and have already prepared a special ring for use in this army-corp showdown on the 3rd Floor.

158.
Mammoth: Even Geronimo at death’s door will be shown how all of you will be killed for sport.
Suguru: Geronimo!!
Mayumi & Sayuri: Suguru---!!
Phoenix: So then, being one step ahead, we’ll be waiting up above--!!
Suguru: Hold on--!!

159.
Suguru: We can’t be here. Robin, let’s proceed to the battleground at once.
Neptune: This is truly bad manners but…
Suguru: The Samurai!!
(TN: Yeah, all of a sudden he’s changed him from “the samurai Choujin” to his name of “Samurai” as in the cover page…but he’s still Neptuneman regardless)
Neptune: This seems like meddling, but don’t you think you’re too reckless with just the two of you challenging the three opponents of the Phoenix & Mammothman combination, who could face down Team Soldier who was lead by those veterans Brocken Jr. and Buffaloman; and includes Omegaman, who easily defeated Geronimo…
Suguru: What are you saying regarding Brocken and Buffaloman…Geronimo challenged and took on Omegaman’s evil power so he could prevent the discovery of your true identity as Neptuneman.

160.
Robin: Wait, Kinnikuman: you don’t have a reason yet to decide his true identity is Neptuneman.
Neptune: Whichever it is, Geronimo’s true power couldn’t win against Omegaman…
Suguru: What---!?
Neptune: Well: can’t I be accepted in joining Team Kinnikuman; if you do, then we can fight evenly with Team Phoenix, 3-vs-3.
Suguru: You—why are you saying that stupid thing---!!
Robin: Kinnikuman, stop it: we don’t have the time to quarrel with him now.
Suguru: You’re virtuous, but Team Kinnikuman won’t lose to the likes of Team Phoenix, even if we don’t hire your power!!

161.
Suguru: OOH
Robin: It’s…the 3rd Floor!!
Suguru: Th….this is!?

162.
Suguru: Many thin strings are closely together fastened to the three ropes on a quite typical ring.
Suguru: Near the ceiling, the countless strings are collected in a bundle and below it are dangling by becoming five thick ropes; beneath that, a torch is burning.
Suguru: Phoenix, what exactly is this ring!?
Phoenix: To explain this ring, I must first take a certain thing from Great King Kinniku.
Mammoth: Hey, here it is. Loan it.
Mayumi: Wha!!

163.
Phoenix: This is called the Muscle Prophecy, a writing which predicts everything regarding the future of the Choujin World; the things that are written here occur in reality 100%. Of course this Scramble for the Throne Survival Match was exa—ctly predicted long ago and written in the writings…
Suguru: What---!?
Phoenix: In short, even if I said that the long history of the Choujin World until now has been created by this writing, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration. What’s further surprising: you can end up changing history if you perform a trick to the writings.
Phoenix: For example, during the showdown of Team Phoenix and Team Soldier in this Survival Match…we destroyed the page written about Kinnikuman Soldier in the Prophecy; as we threw it into the fire of a torch and it burned…
Phoenix: The body of Kinnikuman Soldier, in other words, Kinniku Ataru, was completely erased from real history.
Suguru: R…right: big bro Ataru disappeared while holding my hand that time…

164.
Phoenix: So then, how could this matter occur!? Because I can say that burning the Kinniku Ataru page written in the Prophecy comes to be the same as erasing the existence of Kinniku Ataru from within the history of the Choujin World---!!
Mammoth: Because of that, it’s funny that those who come to not exist in history are in the real world.
Phoenix: It was there that I thought up an amusing showdown method using the Muscle Prophecy: naturally we can say that this Prophecy has written in it the history of all Choujin; so we can say it has written the names of each of my Team Phoenix and of Kinnikuman and Robin Mask.
Phoenix: It is here that the pages written with the five names will be pulled out from the Prophecy and connected to five ropes dangling right above the ring…as you can see; the five ropes are directly connected to numberless thin strings fastened to the ring ropes.

165.
Phoenix: So then, how about the five of us come to have this army-corp showdown with the ring above us conducting this sort of device?
Robin: AAH!!
Robin: Within the continuing of the heated battle, every time we creak the ring and shake the ropes, it will increase the vibrations to the numberless strings directly connected to the ring rope; if it comes to that, these thin strings will be easily cut.
Suguru: These thin strings which are cut one after another will go to the ropes of fate that are far away before long and each one of the Prophecy pages written with the names of we five that are dangling there will chaotically fall into the torch that is directly below it---!!

(SCRAMBLE FOR THE KINNIKU THRONE ARC)
SPECIAL VTR LXXVI (XXXXXXXVI)
GERONIMO VS. OMEGAMAN

TN: Alright, poll time: until that "crucial turning point", who thought Suguru...swung...that way? Yeah, I know it's a stupid, dumb question, but considering that he...tried...to...kiss...Robin!? (he's married you know...that reminds me: THIS SERIES NEEDS MORE ALISHA ABOUT NOW!!) Not to mention...that...he...rather...hang...out...with...men...than...with...the...girl...that...well alright, Yudetamago wrote themselves into a corner and finally decided to have Suguru's hormones kick in with this chapter for that. But the thing is, they only did it to themselves: while we had a lot of females earlier in the series, they seemed more easy to mesh with the comedy stuff compared to the wrestling that this series was now entirely. The fact that Bibimba was reduced to the point that her last cameo prior to her reappearance was literally a blink-and-you-miss-it moment in the Tag arc, they really did need a means to make her relevant again...not to mention resolve plot matters that started way back when she moved in the first time around. At least the anime...no, wait, why am I comparing this to the anime!? Yeah they did keep females relevant but...Bibimba was barely even that important to the anime and was just used because she was thrown in around now into the story! Prior to the Throne, the anime only had her in a movie...and Suguru spent his entire time pursuing Mari! But it's win/lose: at least the anime kept Mari and females relevant, but at the cost of ruining this whole Bibimba scenario (and causing something extremely stupid/bizarre/weird at the end of the anime's version of the Throne) Moral of the story: we can't win with females in this series...and if Suguru kisses Robin, then it will just confirm the inevitable...which we don't need after Parthenon. (though I thought it was stupid he needed one of his own friends to take Geronimo to the hospital...aren't there, you know...DOCTORS...like those nurses treating you a few chapters ago?)

Oh yeah...the fight set-up...for the final, be-all and end-all of the series (and I'm not joking: this is it, the FINAL battle for everything...then again it will last from now to the final chapter) it is interesting to see how they're doing it...but unfortunately the biggest weakness is the source leading to the fight in the first place: The Muscle Prophecy. We already know it's a cheap and stupid plot device, but here is where it just gets utterly ludicrous if you really think about it. That small book which Mayumi had all this time is, according to it, holds prophecies and information for every Choujin who ever existed...and I mean it: EVER. (if Mayumi said it correctly) Considering the millions to billions of years the Kinniku Clan has claimed to exist, you'd expect a much more...massive volume if it were to speak of every event and every Choujin ever. And yet...it remains small and manageable. And let's make matters worse: it's bad enough that there is a potential that any Choujin can be pulled out of that book at any time. But the Choujin aren't directly stated: they're all written in there as cryptic prophecy. So then...if every Choujin is based on a cryptic prophecy within a volume that has literally every event and every Choujin in history...then wouldn't it be way harder to find just the five prophecies you need for the death match? I mean, look at how long and how hard it took to figure out the one prophecy was about Ataru...with every Choujin ever, how could they have the time and resources to not just steal the book and find the exact prophecy for just Suguru, Robin, Phoenix, Mammothman and Omegaman? And if you see them...then wouldn't you know what's about to happen anyway? Personally...I have this weird theory that the pages are either set or can somehow regrow to a set amount and allow for the exact prophecy you want at any time whenever you want to open it like a psychic telepathy...but that's the only way I can think of how that Prophecy can stay so small while allowing for the exact prophecy you want to be in your hands so easily. But...I don't know and I don't care anymore: the death match is set up, they write the Choujin's name on the prophecy page and...that's that I guess. And it finally starts next time...lest Suguru realizes he doesn't want Bibimba again.
