I know it isn't Christmas anymore...but it wasn't when this chapter was released either. But hey...the hole is plugged.

Lesson 292: All Mankind is Santa

Summary of Last Time | On Christmas, Umibozu had snuck into Shinpachi’s residence disguised as Santa to please Kagura, but he clashed there with five Santas who were Gintoki and others in disguise. | In a decisive match for the real Santa, the Santas were challenged in one Santa inspection after another for granting the wishes of Kagura, who acted as the girl in various situations, and each hell one after another. And thus now, with Christmas and New Years long-ago passed, those men are finally starting to move.

Umibozu: I don’t remember coming to transfer to a rural area like one with horses; this here is a pasture of bitches.
(TN: This is a weird pun: Gintoki refers to Kagura as “jajauma”, which is Japanese for “bitch”, Umibozu furthers the pun by saying that “this isn’t a rural area like one with “horses”, considering that “jajauma” includes the word “uma”, the Japanese word for “horse”, but then furthers the pun by saying that this is “jajauma bokujou” or a “grazing pasture of bitches” still using “jajauma” in conjunction to the earlier “uma” comment)
Kagura: I don’t understand what you’re saying putting out those words; what are you two?
Gintoki: Hold on, quiet down. Wh…what is this being intruded by this nerd?
(TN: Strangely the term used by Gintoki is “otaku”, which while it has one term for a particular type of Japanafile in English, in Japanese is just slang for “nerd”)
Umibozu: Nerd, what have you been doing here since earlier? Are you drawing back against hitting me?
Kagura: This oldie who got in the way of my scenario.
Gintoki: No, don’t take this bitch that got in my way and hit me; I thought up she was “a bitch”.
Kagura: Since we’ve attended school, I had an operation that he, who I worried that I hit, was actually Santa, but

Hasegawa: These transfer students.
Gintoki: I’m Gin-santa.
Umibozu: I’m Ossanta.
(TN: Two puns: “Gin-santa” is obviously “Gin-san” with “ta” making “Santa”, “Ossanta” combines “Ossan”, or “middle-aged man” with “ta”, also creating “Santa”)
Kagura: S**t…can I shake them off? | Oh well: somehow it’s fine, even if they just shook off being late somehow…
Kondou: I’m Kondou-Santa.
Kyuubei: I’m Kyuu-chanta.
Sa-chan: I’m Sa-chan.
(TN: Yeah…Kondo-san + ta = “Kondou-santa”, Kyuubei sort of screws up the pattern by making herself “Kyuu-chanta” and…Sa-chan is just Sa-chan)
Hasegawa: Everyone get along with them.
Umibozu: ………
Shinpachi: HOW MANY TRANSFER STUDENTS ARE THERE!! HOW DID YOU ALL TRANSFER HERE!? | ALL OF YOUR TURNS ARE OVER ALREADY!!

Shinpachi: AND ONE OF YOU IS A STICKY TRANSFER STUDENT, BUT WHAT SORT OF TRANSFER STUDENT IS SHE!?
Sa-chan: Nice to meet you.
Otae: Hey hey, Kagura-chan | Well? Who of them interest you?
Shinpachi: EVEN OUR CLASSMATES ARE STICKY!! WHAT IS THIS 3-G!?
(TN: 3-G = “3rd year, Gokiburi/Cockroach Class)
Gintoki: We…we’ve reached this point and they still plan to not give up on the Santa spot? | But they’re too late.

(TN: “Buta Gorilla” is actually possibly a reference to “Kaoru Kumada”, nicknamed “Buta Gorilla”, from the Fujiko Fujio manga series “Kiteretsu Daihyakka”)
Kagura: My chest hurts…it’s painful…this nausea.
Shinpachi: WELL YOU WOULD END UP NAUSIOUS LOOKING AT SOME COCKROACH.

Sa-chan: WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE IGNORED!! I’M BAGERED WITH THE SAME STICKINESS!!

Gintoki: Let’s pull just this and somehow I’m willing to easily let the cockroach die without helping.

TN: Well....that was interesting. For starters, you're probably wondering what I'm doing screwing up Gintama (yet again), but...Bomber needed to keep track of recent stuff and just had no time to fill in this hole so...I got this assignment. As for the chapter...sort of wished Sa-chan was used a bit more but at least we got our lesson...sort of...I think...or not. I think the biggest lesson of all is this: Kagura and Otae work as girlfriends...maybe. (well Madao works as a cockroach)
