Scramble for the Kinniku Throne (92): Use a Wind Chime!
-> RTS Page for Kinnikuman 365
Robin's search for Mammothman's Roulette String has become more futile with the blows he keeps taking from the circumstances. But sometimes the key to finding something may not rely on sight...but on a bit of sound...
Chapter 365: Scramble for the Kinniku Throne (92): Use a Wind Chime!
47.
Announcer: Robin Mask has struck the room lights on the ceiling by Mammothman’s Powerful Nose---!!
48.
Announcer: The amazing power of Mammothman’s Powerful Nose has become clear when if you see the room lights that were struck by Robin becoming small pieces and falling into the ring!!
Neptune: A beautiful tone quality: it’s a special quality possessed of glass that the glass fragments of the light bulbs that were broken into pieces strike the canvas and ring this type of transparent sound.
Suguru: Why are you saying this carefree thing during this emergency, you numbnuts!!
(TN: Suguru called Neptuneman “bokenasu”, or a “stupid eggplant”/”stupid vegetable”; I sort of wish I knew a good English pun with a vegetable for “idiot” but “numbnuts” is as close as we get)
Neptune: The thing that enjoys the tone quality of glass is a wind chime, which is blown by a hot summer wind and brings forth this refreshing tone quality.
49.
Neptune: Yes! The sound of the glass fragments falling on the canvas is just like the tone quality of the wind chime!!
Neptune: Hm—m, good! The tone quality of a wind chime truly a good thing, Robin Mask.
Suguru: Samurai, your entering our team is for assisting this fight; it isn’t for talking about wind chimes----!!
Mayumi: Aah~~this is the end of Team Kinnikuman…
50.
Mammoth: Ga—hahaha: Robin Mask, your straining your body fighting for Kinnikuman to take the throne, but this is the truth of that Kinnikuman.
Mammoth: Well, Robin Mask, how about if you stop straining your body for that guy and quietly succumb to my vicious power?
Robin: Right, Samurai, I have a way: the wind chime…
Robin: I too have thought of a method that can identify Mammothman’s Roulette String using the tone quality brought forth by glass but…I’m not aware of a wind chime---!
Robin: I can do this! With a wind chime operation, I can identify just the one Roulette String tied to Mammothman’s Prophecy from within the numberless strings---!!
51.
Robin: Ri—ght: Wind Chime Operation GO!!
Announcer: What’s the matter: Robin Mask suddenly is starting to destroy the nearby lights with both fists!!
Mammoth: That Robin Mask, he’s become strange from the shock of being hit by the room lights.
Suguru: Robin…
Robin: This is the last one!!
52.
Robin: Al—right, its fine if I gather just this many glass fragments.
Robin: Robin Power Full Throttle!!
53.
Robin: I’ve done it: a glass-made bell made from the fragments of the room lights!!
Robin: I’ll tear off a few strands of my own hair…
Robin: And tie the hair in a bundle to create a string.
Robin: And then connect it to the bell.
Robin: Al—right, the preparations are done!!
Announcer: Robin Mask has broken his long silence and finally snuck from the room lights!!
54.
Robin: This bell is connected to Mammothman’s Prophecy!!
Page: MAMMOTHMAN
Robin: Uh, my balance…
Announcer: Robin Mask’s stance is broken and is falling---!!
Mammoth: Gya—hahaha, it comes to this from doing some trick---!!
55.
Mammoth: Die---!!
Announcer: Mammothman has waved Robin Mask in a Giant Swing and flung him away---!!
Robin: That’s done it—I’ve skillfully been thrown to the white strings of Team Phoenix!!
Mammoth: Robin Mask, you say that, but if you sever those strings on purpose, the white strings will stab into your body---!!
Suguru: Aah!!
56.
Robin: I’m not cutting the white strings! I’m just snapping them---!!
Robin: This isn’t it!!
Robin: This isn’t it!!
Suguru: Robin, you were badly hit in a place and are strange in the head…
Phoenix: An intellect-type Choujin to Robin’s extent wouldn’t think of doing that without any meaning…I’m certain he’s has some idea…
Phoenix: Aah! That bell that’s dangling to Mammothman’s Prophecy!!
57.
Phoenix: Oh—no: Mammothman, Robin intends to search for your Roulette String by the tone quality of the glass bell installed on your Prophecy---!!
Robin: You’ve realized it too late, Mammothman: this is the last string!!
Robin: It rang—this is the Roulette String tied to your Prophecy----!!
58.
Mammoth: I won’t be daunted by that trick! Nose Fencing!!
Mammoth: Nose Fencing!!
Announcer: How skilled! Robin Mask has avoided Mammothman’s Nose Fencing--!!
Announcer: Robin, as is, is crashing into the string he thinks is Mammothman’s Roulette String in the stance of a Flying Cross Attack---!!
Announcer: The string is starting to fray apart with the shock…
59.
Announcer: Simultaneously, a page within the remaining five Prophecy pages other than Robin Mask is firmly falling into the torch---!!
Phoenix: Geee—it’s attached to the glass bell! That I’m certain is Mammothman’s Prophecy---!!
Mammoth: Ugyaa---!!
Announcer: Continuing from Robin Mask, now Mammothman’s Prophecy is burning and his legs are becoming dusky!!
Robin: This makes it even, Mammothman.
60.
Suguru: That’s right—if you attach a bell to Mammothman’s Prophecy, then when he snapped the Roulette String tied to Mammothman’s Prophecy from within the numberless strings, the bell on the Prophecy rings and he can identify just the Roulette String by it’s sound---!!
Robin: Samurai, that was thanks to your wind chime hint.
Suguru: I’m sorry; I didn’t know it would be like this. Were you hurt, Samurai-chan?
Mammoth: Uoo---!!
Announcer: Well, with Robin Mask along with Mammothman evenly developed having come to reveal their Roulette Strings, the match resumes---!!
Announcer: Suddenly Mammothman takes decisive action with an overbearing Flying Sausage---!!
61.
Announcer: But Robin Mask at once has caught this human-bullet attack with a Reverse Romero Special---!!
Mammoth: You’ve perfectly fallen into my trap, Robin Mask.
Robin: !?
Mammoth: Big Tusks---!!
Robin: Uwa---!!
Neptune: Mammothman did the overbearing Flying Sausage for the Reverse Romero to be sent out by Robin Mask!!
62.
Mammoth: Uoo---!!
Announcer: Robin Mask has strained his power and taken out Mammothman’s tusks from his shoulders with an overhead throw---!!
Mammoth: Ga—hahaha: how’s that? Understand? You can discover my Roulette String somehow, but I say the difference in true power of me and you aren’t even.
Robin: N…no.
Robin: Within the range that reaches Mammothman’s eyes, I can’t avoid those Big Tusks no matter how I run around…if…if I can block Mammothman’s eyes somehow…
Neptune: Don’t forget: this battle isn’t a Singles: it’s a Tag Match with allies---!
Suguru: Leave blocking Mammothman’s eyes to us---!!
63.
Neptune: Other than the lights destroyed by Robin, the lights in this arena
Suguru: Has a spare light by way of a private power generator for when a power outage occurs by any chance.
Suguru: Right now it’s shining on the ring!!
Neptune: That now will be blocked by us two!!
Mammoth: What—a power outage—I can’t see anything in pitch darkness!!
Robin: Thanks, I’m in debt to you Kinnikuman and Samurai!!
64.
Robin: Now: I’ll go around to Mammothman’s back and take him into a Back Drop—
Robin: ………!!
Suguru: Well—Robin, can you take down Mammothman---!?
Announcer: Illumination is shining down on the ring again---!!
Neptune: Ah! Th…that’s---!?
65.
Robin: M…my form shouldn’t have been seen…in the dark and yet…ho…how could the Big Tusks…
Mammoth: Guwa—hahaha! My Big Tusks aren’t connected to my will; they react to the breath breathed and stench of sweat of an opponent and continue to stretch in the direction the opponent runs, accurately piercing their body!!
Announcer: Mammothman’s Big Tusks are now not a part of his body; they’re an imposing killing Choujin weapon----!!

SPECIAL VTR LXXIX (XXXXXXXIX)
ROBIN MASK VS. MAMMOTHMAN
TN: Well at least we sort of are getting somewhere with the Big Tusks mystery...but that we'll have to wait for next time to get the full story about. For the moment, lets get into the latest big mess that seems like a good intention...but isn't. The good intention is the whole concept regarding the search for Mammothman's Roulette String: I actually like that in a weird way Robin and Neptuneman worked together to actually figure out a method without cutting strings willy nilly in order to find the right string to cut leading to it falling towards the torch. In concept, using sound to differentiate it works in that you can tell immediately when you've hit the jackpot.
But...that's pretty much the only really good idea about the chapter. The first problem regarding setting up the Windchime strategy is simple enough: why the heck does Robin specifically want to pull this on Mammothman? If using this strategy actually was effective and useful, why not use it on another member of the enemy team like, say, Phoenix? Yes, I know it's Mammothman in the ring, but if Robin eliminated Phoenix's Prophecy page, then Suguru would be the only Throne Candidate left regardless of the other two and the mission would, technically, be accomplished! I get his so-called "honor", but somehow I just wondered why he had to go for his opponent in the ring instead of, say, any opponent like Phoenix himself...or even Omegaman, which would eliminate Neptuneman's need to hide!
Second...since when did Robin have the power to suddenly take glass shards and turn them into a bell...WITH HIS BARE HANDS!? How in the world could he just use a piece of Choujin power and magically turn shards of glass (which must really hurt regardless of gloves or bare) into a bell!? I get that glass is technically a liquid as opposed to a solid but still...he literally took a bunch of shards, melted them and mutated them into a bell...WITH HIS BARE HANDS!! I know Choujin have weird powers but to do that is just...yeah, utterly insane.
And then there is an even more absurd question for the final one: if you noticed Robin's trajectory as he fell back to the ring, he literally weaved through the torch to hook it to Mammothman's page. I know I complained about choice before but I got another question: couldn't he have looked and, I don't know, instantly severed the pages of all the enemies during his descent instead of just hanging a bell on one of them? Yeah I get it...Robin, fair play, Justice Choujin...but he was so close to the torch itself that he could have just ended it there and then! Oh Robin...your fair play will be the doom of Suguru.
One last silly thought: I actually thought they didn't get all the lights before...so then how did all the others besides the one supplementary light end up out? Robin couldn't have destroyed that many could he? (or maybe they just didn't want to waste electricity...I guess they knew of conservation back then too, making Suguru and Neptuneman's strategy work...well aside the Big Tusks having a mind of their own)
