KINNIKUMAN VS. KINNIKUMAN SUPER PHOENIX

TN: Yeah...hopefully the whole matter regarding why Phoenix had Face Flash will be cleared up eventually but I can't quite say it will be anything impressive or imaginative. I sort of fear in my head it's going to screw everything up...again...but for the moment all I can imagine is how Suguru and Phoenix's massive "face flash showdown" felt less like Kinnikuman and more like Gohan/Cell...with disturbed faces flashing each other instead of lasers being fired from palms. I won't really get into the whole matter of Phoenix's upbringing either considering that the next few chapters will finally reveal the truth...but it does feel like it's another one of those "environmental" tales similar to seeing what happened to George and Powerfulman.

The only other really notable thing in this chapter is that we finally actually have one neat thing that was realized this time around: all three of the "Three Great Secrets of Planet Kinniku" all have weaknesses. Yeah, I know Mayumi was making a big deal about how "the Muscle Spark was perfect and invincible" but somehow it was meant to be. The only really weird thing in this chapter is not that there is a weakness to the Muscle Spark...but the means and whom had it: it was the power of Mariposa, the only Fated Prince Suguru never fought (and likewise the one who first revealed the Secrets in the first place way before Suguru even started to activate the power of the Muscle Spark on his own). So basically it's like this: if Suguru knew of the Muscle Spark and ended up in a different scenario where he fought Mariposa instead of being stuck on his own fighting the early members of his team, he may have fallen much sooner than we did. (not to mention burned to a crisp by the Anoalo Staff) And...yeah, Phoenix calling the Muscle Inferno "Muscle Revenger"...you make the call.

BTW: almost forgot this but I need to make mention: Omegaman's "elimination" and the whole glove scenario...I really hope after how Suguru held his hands before that Omegaman...nah, that would just be wrong and disgusting...and a really disturbed end to a rather strong character for this late in the game.
