(TN: That little black guy near Meat is Nachiguron, a small weak kaijuu who occasionally hangs out with Suguru & Meat at this point in the series)
Suguru: I want to give a flavor with a feeling of Superman…
Kazuo: Kinnikuman, are you leaving…
Man: We……we’re sad about that!
Suguru: Don’t you always have a different feeling on me?
Kazuo: N…no.
Kazuo: You can see these tears in front of you!

(TN: Kalbi is the Japanese name for the Korean dish “Galbi”, which is marinated beef short ribs in a Korean soy sauce)
Suguru: Li…liver-chan, ha ha ha…
Meat: How is she? Big brother!
Suguru: WHO’S THAT--!!
Meat: Ear…earlier you told me to call you big brother…
Suguru: SHUT UP~~~!!

TN: For truth, justice and the Kinniku way...well OK, maybe I overdid it a bit there but with all the other Superman references in this chapter (from the infamous landing to Suguru hiding as Clark Kent to the whole "weakness" bit), I had to join in on the fun. Somehow with all the stuff that comes up later, this chapter gave a fun, refreshing look at the bizarre earlier era of Kinnikuman, complete with all the superhero cliche parodies. (somehow Suguru's weakness being milk makes sense in my head with all his obsession with garlic at this point) More interestingly, at least the girl from the last chapter I translated (the one with Mayumi and Sayuri) is IDed as Meat's cute (engaged) older sister...we probably could of had a bit more on Meat later in the story but unfortunately we don't get any more until we meet his father...in Nisei. And of course, the last comment I really need to make echoes the one I made with my last translated chapter: I've started doing fill-ins for the stuff not done by Toriyama World, thus why I skipped from 4 to 15...and next time we're skipping a bit further to chp. 18, where a crucial (but forgotten later on) early Kinnikuman character makes his debut...
