(TN: Egawa refers to “Suguru Egawa”, a member of the Yomiuri Giants during the late 1970s & early 1980s. It also is believed that this “Suguru” is the “Suguru” that Suguru Kinniku got his name.)
Manager: Egawa-kun was playing Space Invaders when we were sucked in.
(TN: The classic arcade game “Space Invaders” was actually called by its nickname “Invader Game”)

Natsuko: Since the digestion started, no matter how a place we climb, it’s a matter of time until it’s sunk by the gastric juices…

Meat: The Bottomless Alien should be a symbol on Earth for food shortage suffering. I don’t understand how humans always have tragedies like the Bottomless Alien……This is the same for Choujin.
(TN: The first time I’ve come across this term, Choujin is the Japanese word for “Super Man” and is one of the key terms we’ll come across time and again in this series)
Meat: However, it was probably lucky too for the Bottomless Alien to have swallowed the Prince and Na-chan…
Suguru: Aah…it surely was bad for me and Na-chan to be together…
Everyone: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

TN: Somehow this chapter felt like a fun little morality play regarding paradise and hell...sometimes at the same time. Having Suguru and Natsuko inside that creature, prior to it's digestion of course, felt extremely surreal and I thought it was interesting...of course the ways to give Suguru his garlic get more preposterous but considering we're not going to really worry about it for too much longer, using gyoza was a nice touch. Oh, and is it just me or was it weird to have both the World Trade Center and the Statue of Liberty (ala "Planet of the Apes") inside...sort of shows how dated it is but also reflects the time and place of the series. (of course it's scary that I'm doing a chapter with the WTC on 9/11...I didn't realize that and I apologize if I offended with this). Oh and one more thing: BIG HEADED MEAT!!!
