She came from a faraway paradise, a beautiful stranger who gathers two of the greatest heroes to save her home from a legendary menace. But will Kinnikuman & Terryman (and Meat as well) be able to save this island from the kaijuu running amuck on this lost paradise? A double release for both parts of the story!

Princess: We on Roots island were a quiet and peaceful island up until a year ago……however, the kaijuu Ukon, Octobass Dragon and Harigorous have attacked us excessively…
Suguru: So then, you say you want us to defeat Unko and the others.
Meat: Prince, it’s Ukon, Ukon!
(TN: “Unko” is Japanese for “poop”, thus the weird pun)

(TN: Just need to emphasize at this point: yes, both the island and the princess’ names are homages to Alex Haley’s famous biography “Roots”, which had a ground-breaking TV mini-series released in the US in 1977)

Kunta: Yes yes, we’ve properly prepared for your work pay. Now, right here.

Kunta: All of this is one billion yen. Go ahead, please take it.
Terry: What era of people are you all? No matter how much it is, we can’t use stone money~~
(End of Vol. 2)

TN: Only one thing I can say: them there were crazy natives! Only in a series like this (in this phase of the story) would we get something with this much action, drama and comedy all at once...it was a fun little side trip and while as abrupt as it was at this time (see that weird cut from Suguru fighting Ukon to being his servant), it did what it was supposed to in two chatpers. Sort of wished Kunta was more regular to the story after this but she really only had her part here and, like the movie-like setting, only really belonged on this bizarre island of weirdoes. And...what the heck were Kinkotsuman and Iwao doing there considering they were supposedly there for a while? In another way, this fun little side trip was sort of a nice swan song to the main kaijuu segment of the series. There will be a few kaijuu later but we won't be seeing them as the focus compared to...well, what starts next time. Yep, the Choujin Olympics arc starts next chapter with the introduction of...well I don't want to spoil it for those who don't know of Kinnikuman but you may or may not have heard of him or seen him around! (a slight hint: he's British)
