Chapter 66: Grand Canyon Scream
165.
Fans: Good job--!! Robin Mask--!! Throw Kinnikuman from the ring---!!
Suguru: Owa~~~Dis iz diffikult~~!!
(TN: Suguru is sort of screwed up with how he’s talking so the misspelling is intentional)
166.
Suguru: Waa---!
Announcer: Well~~~then, the rope has been cut---!!
Meat: Prince--! Your legs, use your legs---!!
Robin: Fool, you can’t use your mouth so easily!!
Suguru: Aah…Alisa’s in the stands…
Robin: ……!
Suguru: Got him…
167.
Suguru: Dahahahahaha, I fooled you idiot~~!!
Suguru: Uh……Robin is calm…I can’t use my diversion operation……!!
Suguru: Uwa!
Announcer: Ooh, this is rare: Robin’s punching attack!! The magnificent technician Robin is holding an unthinkable fight!!
Meat: You can’t win by just throwing around techniques. Robin understands that with who he’s facing.
168.
Robin: Give back my belt!!
Robin: Wa
Announcer: Well—now, Robin used too much force and is falling---!!
Suguru: Ro……Robin…
Announcer: N…No, he narrowly is clinging to the rope--!!
Robin: Kinnikuman, I won’t give you any chance. As is, you’ll beat and drop me into the valley. You’re so certain of your title defense…
169.
Meat: Prince, you can do it!!
Suguru: Meat, you……
Meat: It’s important for a champion to be cold and heartless too. Further, if you want to continue being the champion, then you’ll drop Robin into the valley if you want to give him the abuse, even as an idiot Choujin!!
Suguru: I…I can’t. I can’t do it…!!
Meat: Pr…PRINCE--!!
Robin: Kinnikuman…A man like you………
170.
Robin: Are a complete an utter idiot--!!
Suguru: D…damn---!!
Meat: Prince--!
Robin: And that’s match!!
Announcer: There it is—Robin’s Killer Technique: Tower Bridge!!
Announcer: He’s getting his just desserts!
171.
Suguru: Me…Meat~~it’s over for me~~give me a magnificent funeral~~~!!
Meat: What are you saying--!! It’s a do-or-die moment. You’re on the edge, Takanohana’s mentality!!
(TN: “Takanohana” is referring to Kenshi Takanohana, a famous sumo wrestler)
Suguru: Idiot. If this was sumo, then I would be able to pull out an “Ucchari” reversal technique…
Suguru: No, hold on. I have just the thing……!!
Robin: Know of evil, Kinnikuman!!
Suguru: It’s sink or swim…
Meat: Wa--!!
172.
Robin: Wha…….what…
Suguru: Hehehe…I’ve destroyed your Tower Bridge!
Announcer: Well—then, Kinnikuman did a half turn, preventing Robin’s Tower Bridge--!!
Announcer: Ooh, an amazing blow exchange—
173.
Crowds: Rush him Robin!! Go--!! Kinnikuman!! Great--!!
Announcer: Ooh! The fight of these two has made the spectators excited!!
Tazahana: There have been many matches which were fought with showy techniques recently. However, the spectators haven’t seen a fight where the principle intentions is bare knuckle hitting…
174.
Sheik: Hey, the mood here is filled with bugs! Skull, hurry and change this!!
Bozu: Fine! Do it, Iwao!
Iwao: Roger!
Iwao: Escape--!!
Audience: Ge…a plane is falling towards them--!! Kya--!! It will crash into the ring--!!
175.
Meat: Prince, Robin, run away--!!
Robin: !
Suguru: UWA…
176.
Meat: Pr…Prince……!?
TN: You can obviously see that Suguru isn't really as easily defeated as before, particularly with his strategy that finally defeated the Tower Bridge. While it probably means that Robin will need another technique later down the line (and of course this being shonen...), it shows how much the match isn't as certain as it was back during the Olympics match. Of course, the match also seems to be more about the brutality, with Suguru and Robin going back and forth in a punching match than any sort of wrestling. And the ending...yeah, somehow it really feels crooked but this is both Iwao...and Skull Bozu we're dealing with.
