Suguru: No—well.

Suguru: Th…this is the wrestling underwear used by Inoki-san!
Inoki: You’ve qualified to wear those.
Suguru: Th..thank you!
Inoki: Thanks for trying the Anton Mate Tea…
(TN: “Mate Tea” is a style of drink of the infusion “Mate”, which is made by steeping dried yerba mate leaves in hot water. It is a more well known drink in Latin America and the Middle East)

Patrol 2: There is no Christmas for the Defense Corp. What we just have are fighting hearts that defeat Kaijuu.

Suguru: Well I just came back from an oversea trip. Can you introduce yourselves?
Patrol 2: OK, tell him!
Mach: Matahiko Kondou, also known as Mach!
Yocchan: Hehe…Yochio Nomura, also known as Yocchan.
Leader: And I’m the captain of the Defense Corp
Toshi: Toshiyori Tahara, also known as Toshi-chan!

(TN: The “Tanokin Trio” is a notable idol trio made up of three idols with the nicknames “Mach”, “Yocchan” and “Toshi-chan”, originally came together via a drama in the late 1970s and were notable TV and idol stars in a period between 1980 (when this chapter came out) through 1983)
Toshi: And when we fight Kaijuu…Tanokin pitch with all their power!!
Toshi: How’s that, do you know who we are…
Mach: Ca…captain!
Mach: They’re laughing
Suguru & Meat: DOWAHAHAHA
Toshi: You---pig~~~~!!
Suguru: N?

Meat: This has to be revenge for it’s friends who were eaten Christmas night---!!

Toshi: You’ve done well, Yocchan!!
Suguru: Ooh, that is convenient!
Yocchan: He…hey, don’t enter. We’re over the fixed amount!!
Suguru: S**t, that annoying Kaiju has to be handled by me! Meat, the garlic!
Meat: Ah…I forgot it at the house!!
Yocchan: Heh heh…without garlic, he won’t be able to fight and the protection of the peace will end up with the Defense Corp.
Toshi: Hey, Yocchan, shall we make an example?
Yocchan: Yes, this is perfect to use Nomura’s once-in-a-lifetime greatest masterpiece!
Yocchan: Royal Straight Flash
Toshi: Ooh…if we use that, we’ll flash it with an incredible force.
Toshi: Let’s go stupid!

Sign: Raw Garlic
Meat: Prince, we’ll use this.
Suguru: Oh, S&B’s wholesale Raw Garlic…it’s an emergency. I have to indulge!!
(TN: S&B, also known as “Spice and HerB”, is a well known Japanese spice distributor)

Suguru: He—y, you big Monster Turkey. Take this Kinniku Flash!
(TN: Suguru actually says “Shichimentori no Monster Turkey” or “Monster Turkey Turkey” with the “Monster Turkey” bit being like the turkey’s name. I thought it was a bit ridiculous so I changed it)
Toshi: Wa—We have to take this away from Kinnikuman.
Suguru: Urya

Suguru: It was my Flash that hit it.
Defense Corp: No, it was Toshi-chan’s rocket!!
Toshi: Look, what cooked him to a well golden-brown was done by my Royal Straight Flash Cannon.
Suguru: I call you stupid. What other weapon other than my Kinniku Flash can cook this!!
Meat: Whichever did it, the children of Japan have gotten a good Christmas Present!

TN: So whether or not it was Suguru or the Defense Corp who stopped that monster, only one thing is for certain: everyone got some really tasty drumsticks that Christmas night! In some way, I guess it feels weird that a Christmas tale takes place on Christmas...as opposed to Christmas Eve like a lot of tales in the states, but the day itself is more of a nice relaxing holiday to party...compared to the more formal and organized New Years one week later! It was sort of silly seeing that roach family take over Suguru's home while he was gone, but probably one of the weirdest aspects of the chapter was the introduction of the short lived "Earth Defense Corp" who actually seemed to be set up as rivals for fighting the local Kaijuu alongside the known Choujin hero. It was a nice little growth for this part of the series and it continues to show that the series is just a great parody of the Ultraman franchise...but I think everyone wants their wrestling back so I think I should just shut up.
