Kinnikuman 167

Kinnikuman and Meat have entered the second of the Devil Knights lair: an amusement park which contains the solar system amalgam Planetman and his Space Hell! Will the stars align for Suguru's victory or defeat!?

Chapter 167: Gold Mask Arc (8): Vulcan, the Mystery Planet!!

167.
Announcer: Kinnikuman is hit in the chest by Planetman’s Saturn ring—

168.
Suguru: Owa—
Suguru: Ge!
Meat: Prince--!!
Terry & Geronimo: Ki…Kinnikuman…!!
Suguru: Ah…it stopped!

169.
Suguru: Wh…what is this ring--!?
Planetman: Ka—kakaka, this completes the Space Hell--!!
Fans: Please Kinnikuman!!
Fans: What is Space Hell? Isn’t this just an amusement park!!

170.
Planet: In ancient Greece, the 12 Gods were brought together as the planets of the Solar System that sparkled in the sky. However, here and now I will move with my demon hand the real power of the Gods!
Suguru: You….you can’t have gotten a demonic finger on the Earth we live on…
Planet: Now—start the match!!
Suguru: Oho!
Suguru: Wha…
Suguru: Uwa

171.
Announcer: Kinnikuman was hit from behind--!!
Suguru: Uuh…
Planet: Ka~~kakaka, Once I release my Planet Ring from my body, it aims for my opponent’s body, chasing them to the depths of hell!
Planet: Take this and end it--!!
Suguru: Uwa
Suguru: Owa—I can’t get aw—ay!
Meat: Prince—
Suguru: Owa—

172.
Suguru: Wh…wha?
Announcer: Kinnikuman luckily fell into a Ferris wheel, saving him--!!
Suguru: Hie!
Suguru: Uwa!
Announcer: Kinnikuman has protected his body within the Ferris wheel, hiding him from Planetman--!!
Suguru: Kihihi…Planetman, With this this, you’ve made a mistake in choosing your battleground. An amusement park is a treasure trove of places whre I can defend from your Planet Ring!
Planet: What—
Planet: Get out—

173.
Suguru: Hey hey, how’s that!
Terry: You don’t have control, Kinnikuman. A Devil Knight won’t get scared of that!!
Suguru: Hehehe—don’t worry, Terryman. I’m not scared of the slaps of that weak Choujin!
Planet: I…In that case~~~!!
Announcer: Planetman has chomped on the Planet Ring—

174.
Planet: Take this: Ring Stone!!
Suguru: Uwa—
Planet: Kakaka—Don’t you know? They say that if you get close to the ring of Saturn, there are an innumerable number of small rocks gathered there.
Planet: Now, return: Planet Gravity!!
Announcer: Both Kinnikuman and the car are being attracted by the gravity coming from Jupiter—

175.
Planet: Jupiter is the most massive planet of the Solar System!! Therefore, it’s gravity is also massive!
Planet: So now you’ll taste the flavor of my deadly planet techniques carefully.
Planet: There—
Announcer: Planetman’s put him in a 4 formation---!
Planet: This isn’t just the 4 formation. My legs are Neptune to the right and Pluto to the left.
Planet: Those two planets are the ones furthest away from the sun! The planets are said to be glacier planets completely covered in ice.
Planet: Therefore, this technique is a 4 formation below zero.

176.
Meat: Aah! Prince’s body is!
Meat: Gradually freezing.
Planet: I’ll get up temporarily!!
Announcer: Kinnikuman’s entire body is completely frozen---!!
Meat: Prince—
Terry: Ki…Kinnikuman!
Planet: There isn’t anything more brittle than an instantly frozen lifeform. For example, a frozen flower falls to the ground.
Planet: In…small pieces…!!
Planet: So then, if I fall with my Knee Drop, what do you think will happen?

177.
Meat: Uwa—he can’t—if he does that, Prince’s body will get broken into shards---!!
Planet: Here—
Announcer: Planetman is doing a terrifying bombing nose-dive from the top of the ropes--!!
Geronimo: Use Wolfman’s Power.

178.
Suguru: WOLFMAN SLAP--!!
Announcer: Kinnikuman has answered with a Reversal Slap---!!
Geronimo: Wolfman, it’s thanks to you that Kinnikuman was saved.
Announcer: The shock now has loosened Planetman’s Earth segment.
Suguru: You, I thought it was strange that you would have Earth do evil, but your Earth head is a fake!!
Planet: I’ll tell you the truth of my head…
Planet: The planets of the Solar System are a unification of each of the twelve gods. These gods were called the 12 Gods of Olympus.
Planet: However today we’ve made a discovery. The number of planets is 11: Moon, Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto; missing one of the 12 Gods of Olympus…Could there a 12th planet as expected…!? Yes, it really does exist!

179.
Planet: Since it is on the opposite side of Earth, it always was in the shadows and its form was erased within the darkness of the universe…
Planet: However, now the time has come to reveal it to the thousands!
Planet: Look, this is the 12th Planet of the Solar System: Vulcan!
Everyone: Ooh…
Suguru: Vu…Vulcan?
Planet: Thus, I have stolen the powers of all the Gods of 11 planets of the Solar System…If I can take just the remaining planet, I can control the entire Solar System. That planet is Earth!

180.
Suguru: Bu…but, where is Earth!?
Planet: That is you, Kinnikuman!!
Suguru: Wa
Suguru: Ge—
Planet: When I defeat you, then I’ll take the Earth--!!
Announcer: How can Kinnikuman fight the 11 planets as the Earth—

181.
CHOUJIN DEADLY-TECHNIQUE SERIES
10. Apache War Cry
Geronimo: This technique can only be done by me with the Indian blood I possess. It can lightly blow away an opponent regardless of firmness……

Caption: Fighting the massive Choujin Sunshine, Geronimo shows his persistent soul.

Apache War Cry Instructions:
Geronimo: URARARA~~
(With a 1000 Phon loud voice, the wind power is has the average of a typhoon)

TN: I really doubt they should have spoiled Geronimo's trademark fight so soon...but the chapter was probably long released by the time of the release of this volume. As for the chapter itself...is it just me or is this fight rather cheap? I somehow don't know what's worse: Planetman having a mystery planet for his head...or Suguru suddenly using Wolfman's life power to break out of the ice attack? While much worse is coming in this fight, I think it's time to sort of take a quick look at the strange scenario regarding the 12 Olympians and their relationship to the planets in regards to this fight. Unfortunately for Planetman (and likewise for Yudetamago), even if you include the Moon and the Sun, our solar system isn't made up of representatives of all 12 of the Olympian gods. Obviously we have representatives that we know of for Hermes (Mercury), Aphrodite (Venus), Ares (Mars), Zeus (Jupiter), Poseidon (Neptune) and Hades (Pluto) as well as Apollo (Sun) and Artemis (Moon). Throwing in the mystery planet as Hephaestus (Vulcan) and possibly using Demeter as Earth (though Earth is another God altogether), that's 10 of the Olympians. But then there's the problem: neither Saturn or Uranus are named after Olympians: Saturn is named after Chronos (the Titan who was the father of several of the Olympians whom Zeus eventually kills) while Uranus is named after the "Sky Father" whom bore with "Earth" the Titans and other monsters and such. And of course this also leaves out various other gods who aren't represented appropriately (such as Hera...and Demeter if you don't use her for Earth). I know it was supposed to make Planetman more formidable but it just makes things a heck of a lot more confusing.
