Page 17 - Well, I’m rubber, you’re glue. It bounces off me, and sticks to you. – For the non native English speakers. Alan is basically saying that the Mavro guy is the small maggot as he kept saying that over and over.

Page 18 -19 - Sound - there is wordplay here. usually the word noise or sound is written in japanse as 音 (oto). Here there are 3 kanjis used 断末魔 (danmatsuma). This word is then used to describe how the Mavro’s voice sounds to Alan ears, as a death agony.
