Vagabond Ch. 209 Translated

1I feel that's a better translation than detour, though I used the word detour in the previous chapter. For consistency we may need to use "detour" here.
2Sorry I'm making changes to things midway through, but I'm finding better

Suggestion: "What he had lost lay right in front of him." Gives the line a bit more oomph, imo.
Suggestions: This is a bit unclear. "Why wasn't I able to get to this point from the beginning?" or something similar. I had the perfect rephrasing in my head and some car's alarm started howling and I lost my concentration. :shakefist
