Toriko 2

I wonder where this story actually leads to...anyways, enjoy
Toriko 2

[side] the Baron Islands are full of beast birds! Look out!
SFX: GyaGya//Guoo//Kuu//Kaaa// more onomatopoeias
K: Hey…
Hey Toriko-san!
Can you wait a sec?
Can we walk more carefully?

Gourmet 2: Fork and knife
Text: The strong prey on the weak?
Hunt Galala Croc!
The Strongest prey on the strong!!

======Page 4=====
[serpent Frog
(Amphibian)
Capture level 1

T: Disappointing…
Don’t get all worked up for a mere serpent frog
K: S…Sorry…This is my first time seeing a live serpent frog
Though I’ve taken care of them at the kitchen…
T: Oh yeah, I just recalled that serpent frog livers are real delicacies
K: Gyaa // something is sticking to my hand!
What the heck is this Toriko-san?
T: It’s…leech. It’s just sucking your blood so just it leave it
K: I can’t! It’s disgusting!
T: Hey if you try to take it off your wound will just get bigger // just wait
K: What is that…?
The leaves of Mangroves… remember those at the entrance? // Let me see your hands
======Page 5=====
Gu…Gyuuu
*tremble*
K: Oh, It got off
Why though?
T: Leeches hate it when you put salt on them
K:Eh…
S…Salt, huh…?
Mangroves evaporate salt at their leaves by sucking up sea water
That’s why their fruits and leaves are so salty that even insects don’t eat them
K: No doubt that’s why the leech was surprised…
Let’s take some notes…
T: But depending on the species some leaves are edible so study those
Chef Komatsu

======Page 6=====
K: What a number of beast birds…
T: The Baron Islands are known for the gargantuan beast birds
We can’t get near here with helicopters since those birds control of the sky
K: so that’s why we came by boats…
T: It’s almost the dusk
Let’s stop here for today
K: we are not going into the marsh area?
T: Galala Crocs are nocturnal
It’s better to hunt it when it’s sluggish in the noon
We’ll go to the marsh tomorrow

======Page 7=====
T: Hmmm…This is tasty
Serpent Frog isn’t bad at all!
Right komatsu?
K: Hmm…yes…
T: I’ve got wine too, want some?
K: Ah…hmm…putting that aside Toriko-san
The bleeding is not stopping since then…
From where the leech bit me
T: The leeches gives out a substance called hirudine when they suck blood
It’s a substance that prevents the clotting of blood
It will stop sometime soon
When is that gonna happen…?

======Page 8=====
B…But why are those …things…
Those beasts…
T: They are probably hungry so they are aiming for the leftover
There’s a food shortage in this island full of provisions
Galala Crocs are omnivores and heavy eaters // If the IGP’s data were correct,
Then we can assume the state of this island are unmistakably caused by the 300 year old Galala Croc
It’s not just in Baron Marsh
The possibility of it ravaging everything on the island isn’t that low either
It means that 200,000 species of animals are facing a crisis
No…Wait a sec
Galala Crocs are also adapted to ocean
If there are no more food on the island then it might go to the ocean
Shush
Be quiet

======Page 9=====
Is anything wrong…?
Woooaaaa!
======Page 10=====
Hmm? What is this again?
It’s Swamp Snake, Toriko-san
Capture Level five, it is said even the Galala Croc can’t beat it if it’s in the swamp!
It’s quite formidable!
You said Swamp Snake? No way
Huh
======Page 11=====
K: Eh…? It’s dead?
T: How…What is this wound?
In one bite…It died just from that…
Rather than an power of the jaw
The size of jaw is more astonishing!
A 300-year-old Galala Croc, huh…?
However…I can’t still comprehend…
Oh…
So that’s why?

======Page 12====
The reasons that Swamp Snake’s level 5 is of course its strength, but
The difficulty of locating it counts for the most part…!
T…Tori…Ko-san…
It’s the smell of blood…
The moment we entered the islands…
We have been set as targets, isn’t that so,
Mr. Galala Croc

======Page 13-14=====

[Galala Crocodile – Age 300
(Reptile)
Estimated Capture Difficulty: level 5 ]
Get back, Komatsu

======Page 15=====
A…It…It’s not a croc anymore…
It’s a dinosaur
Get back
Komatsu
To…
Toriko-san?
There…
There are two
Dinosaurs!

======Page 16====
Waaaaa
I’m excited
How long has it been…
Since I’ve seen a prey that dares to fight me

======Page 17====
Raaa!
Ouch!

======Page 18====
Nuuaaa!
(I see…
I see two Dinosaurs!
Hmm?
Exactly what I thought
T: Hey Komatsu!
K: Y..Yes!
I…
I see two dinosaurs!
T: Ah?

======Page 19====
Did you bleeding stop?
Look at where the leech bit
K: huh…blood? // Ah…no
There’s still a little…
Hey wait there’s another one stuck!
T: I just recalled that this is Baron Leech! The parasitic leech!
They live on a larger organism and are parasitic! // If you got your blood sucked by this thing then you won’t stop bleeding for half a day

======Page 20====
The large lizard Komodo Dragon are known for having 60 species of bacteria in its saliva in its mouth
So even if it doesn’t give a fatal injury to the prey, the lizard will wait until the prey is weakened by the bacteria and then capture it.
Galala Croc! It’s keeping enormous amount of Baron Leech in its mouth!
It spread those leeches and uses its sense of smell to find preys that has had their blood sucked!

======Page 20====
K: Ehh! That means I’m already the croc’s target!?
T: So the Swarm Snake was found that way too…
So…
I guess it wouldn’t be good if the battle take too long
Komatsu! Is it okay if I don’t capture it alive?
K: Huh … what?
Capture it…Alive?
Is beating the heck out it
All right?
S…Sure…
Take your time…
That day for the first time –
======Page 21====
Toriko entered the battle mode
In that instant
All the living things on the island left their homes
And fled

======Page 22====
The thing that stopped the Galala Croc from doing so
Was not the pride as the king of the islands.
But the ignorance of not knowing a life-threatening danger in 300 years
Hey you, Galala Croc….
To that hard scale //to that sturdy teeth…
To that sharp claws // to the probably-3-ton strength of your jaw
and to the feature fit as the king of the Baron islands
I will pay my respect
And show you the …
======Page 23====
The weapons
Of humans!
Eh…Eh..
======Page 24====
Gyuuaa

======Page 25====
I give my thanks
To all the food in this world
I shall have the treat
======Page 26====
Fork!
Nuoooo!
======Page 27====
Knife!
======Page 28====
======Page 29====
Thanks for the treat
He’s…
======Page 30====
A godly apparition
He definitely looked like a Hanya for moment [T/N a mask used for No, for demons]
But now his face has…

Komatsu!
Mission Accomplished!
Come, Let’s eat!

Changed into a smile dazzling like gold
Was it relief…My tear did not stop flowing…

It was as if I’ve caught a glimpse of
The true form of a man, Toriko of Bishoku-Ya
And so…
T: ?
Why are you crying over there?
======Page 31====
I was to taste of the yet unknown
And the most spectacular taste of all time
K:Ahhh…
Is it really okay…?
T: What is?

K: I mean…To eat the requested meat right here…
T: It’s alright // which ever way it is we won’t be able to carry all this back// See, it’s done!
Look…The frost-like fat is shining…
It’s like a meat made of jewels
======Page 32====
Aammm
*chewing*
*chewing*
Hmmm-so gooood!
Eh…Is it that good?
Let me see…
–A
Sooo tasty!
Right?
We will roast more
Yeah, let’s do this fast

======Page 33====

*chewing
*chewing

Anyhow Toriko-san
…hmm?
I…I’ve got a request for you…
No doing it.
Not…doing it…I haven’t said anything yet
…What is it?
If you are going for something like this again
Can I go with you?
Decide it by yourself…you were lucky when you thought of it…
Yes…but after that I am unlucky right! ... Right?
Hmm…
Eh?
What is this…!
It…// It is gonna be bad if you ate all of them Toriko-san!
T: Idiot…

======Page 34====
There’s still more. Look!
That’s no other than the leech in its mouth!
Isn’t this enough?
No it isn’t!
Ugh, what should I say to the superiors…
Not good, am I gonna get fired…?
Tell IGO that
It tasted really fantastic!
What good is it to tell them that?
T: But it needs one more step to become one of my full menu dish
K: And you still say it’s not good enough!
[The world is filled with a lot more tasty food]
[Toriko’s The Full Course menu will be completed someday!]
Side: Stuffed, Satisfied! Galala Croc, consumed! And they sets out to the next gourmet!
