So, I guess both Nakama and "~chan" / "~san" and "~kun" can be used....
(Readers please correct me if I am wrong.)
by the way, nice work hai ^^
There was a manga I translated (why isn't it coming to mind...) that I always translated nakama as teammates, since it fit the context.

Nakaga.... We understand that concept fully in Cantonese / Chinese languages (my nature language), just find it a difficult one english...
(Sometimes enligsh language do not seem to contain these Asian concepts, like Gi (japanese) /Yiqi (chinese) concept, a kindness/responsibility towards other people whether you know them or not.... ^_^;)
