Does it actually mean
-I thought that she'd suddenly burst into tears
-But she immediately became so cold
I don't know if the と思えば can be interpreted in this way, but it does seem to make more sense >.<
Yeah, that sentence fustrated me too. Because in Japanese sentences they don't really use "markers" like we do in English (he/she/them/you) it's often really hard to figure out who they're talking about exactly.
The sentence is literally;
突然 泣き出した と思えば
All of a sudden burst into tears if I think
急に 冷たくなったり
suddenly colder became.
Do you see my problem with that line? ^^;
I did think that he might be referring to Idamaria, but then I thought..."Why would she cry?" As in, Kucabara had a bag thrown on his hand, so bursting into tears would be understandable (if not very manly. XD) But nothing happened to Idamaria to make her start crying...
I've edited the line to say something like "I think if I were to suddenly start crying, it'd get cold in here real fast."
That's what someone reccomended me to translate to.
Here's what I have.

This one confused me, because she's definitely dropping a wooden box on his hand, but then says something like this? But I even went to double check it myself, and you are right. Most of my dictionaries said "baggage/luggage" though, so I changed it to that since it's a LITTLE closer than bags, but I didn't want to change it to boxes, either, since that's not what it says... Why do they do stuff like this. :( The final sentence I changed it to ended up being "Don’t drop baggage on someone’s hand!!" I try not to make a lot of really big changes like that but most people reading this won't go back and look at the raw to see that's what it really says...and they might think we're all a little strange in the head if we're calling boxes bags...
