(First translation to put on MH (or ever, more like) after just leeching RAWs for so long... about time to starting giving back to the manga community, eh? Let me lay out a few things first.

I’m generally going to separate each paragraph by speech bubbles or one character if it’s easier to read, except when it’s smoother to combine a couple for the sake of translation (again, so it’s easier to read).

I’m gearing my translations more for scanslators (and other translators if they want to use it for whatever reason). A thing about me is that I will be using liberal amounts of translator’s notes because I like to keep people informed of their options. My preference is that people have the resources to add their own creativity where it can be applied. Hence, I will usually try to stick to the more literal side of translating things and add tn’s (unless it just sounds really bad in English) so that people using my translations can do some interpretations of their own. (If this sounds super good, don’t get your hopes too much – it’s not like I’ll be spending days for every translation I do to give you all the cross references in the world... just a few hours when I can...)

I won’t really bother with sound effect just yet, though – you can find plenty of other examples from elsewhere.

About using my translations: all the usual common courtesy, please. You know, stuff like giving credit where it’s due, dropping me a line to let me know if you can, etc., etc.

Is it a “wind cutter”? (tn: First off, Nurarihyon is probably referring to some class of youkai in that world. More interestingly, かまいたち can be broken up into かま(sickle) and いたち(weasel). It describes a phenomenon in which one’s skin seems to have suddenly been cut by a sharp blade. Apparently, you can see observe this phenomenon where there is lots of snow, and they say it is caused by vacuums formed in the air. They apparently thought it was a weasel’s doing in the old days, and hence the name)
