Meister chapter 04

Page 01

Play.4 The way of scoring
Middle : A match started by Raiho's words to Nishiki!!
Someone : Nishiki scored his third goal!!

Middle : The two of them keep shooting!! What kind of match is it!?
Someone : Raiho scored his third goal too!!

Page 02

Matsudo : Awesome... This match...
Matsudo : None of them is pulling back...!

Nishiki : What I'm playing isn't football!?

Nishiki : Hahahahaha!

Nishiki : What kind of harsh joke is that?
Nishiki : You saw me scoring several times, right!?
Nishiki : And you're telling me something is wrong with that!?

Raiho : It's true that your ability as a striker is incredible.

Page 03

Raiho : But one day you won't be able to score anymore.

Nishiki : ... Ha?
Nishiki : I won't!?
Nishiki : What kind of stupid things are you saying...

Raiho : I'll teach you the reason right now in a match!!

Nishiki : A match!!?

Page 04

Matsudo : That's how this match started.

Matsudo : It begins with me getting the ball.
Matsudo : Then I pass it to one of these two, who are covered by three defenders.
Narration : Kiichi is there to try and disturb the pass.

Matsudo : And then the one who gets the pass aims for the goal.
Arrow : Shoot
Matsudo : The one that scores the most goals wins, it's as simple as that.
Left : Matsudo tries to pass to the both of them evenly.

Page 05

Matsudo : So far the two of them have each scored three goals...

Matsudo : But...

Matsudo : Raiho-san's style is about freeing himself with his speed and getting passes in the back of the defense,
Matsudo : or dodging the defenders with his dribbles before shooting.

Matsudo : Stopping the passes
Matsudo : or being caught by a defender would put an end to that.

Page 06

Matsudo : On the other hand, Nishiki...
Kai : Alright!

Matsudo : He's requesting the ball directly to his feet,

Matsudo : And breaking through forcibly, even with a defender on his back.

Matsudo : There's no place for a mistake here!

Matsudo : This match...
Matsudo : Since he can break through by himself, Nishiki has the advantage, right...

Page 07

Kid : That shoot just now was awesome!

Kid (small text) : Onii-chan, do your best!
Matsudo : Kids from the neighborhood...?
(T/N : Onii-chan = “big brother”, can also be used for unrelated young guys)

Matsudo : it's true that there aren't a lot of guys that would be able to do such powerful plays.
Matsudo : Anybody would think of him as a fascinating forward!

Matsudo : Why did Raiho-san start that match!?
Matsudo : What could he be thinking?

Matsudo : On top of that...
Kiichi : Koraaa, what the hell are you doing!!

Kiichi : You bastards can't even stop a single one!!
Kai : Haa!?
Kai : That's because you're too loose at defending, Kiichi!!
Taira : He passes the ball just too easily...
Kiichi : I'm a side midfielder, defender isn't my job!
Matsudo : ... I feel like the relations between the defenders keep getting worse...

Page 08

Nishiki : come on, keep the balls coming!!

Kai : We'll just have to go at him more severely!!

Nishiki : Ooooh!

Page 09

Someone : He scored!!

Raiho : Yaaa!!
Someone : Raiho scored too!!

Someone : None of them is pulling back!!

Guy : A... Awesome...

Guy : What will happen in this match...

Page 10

Nishiki : Kh...

Nishiki : My leg has taken quite a beating...
Nishiki : By the defenders...

Nishiki : But there's no way I'll lose!!
Nishiki : Scoring is the path to become a star player!!

Raiho : Nishiki-kun
Raiho : How about we settle it soon?

Raiho : Since there's that matter about your leg, too.

Page 11

Raiho : Matsudo-kun!!
Raiho : The next play is the last one!!

Raiho : So pass the next one just between me and Nishiki-kun!!

Matsudo : Between the two of you!?
Matsudo : What are you thinking...

Matsudo : Shit!! I just have to do it, right!!?

Page 12

Someone : Here comes the pass!

Raiho : Well then...

Raiho : It's a showdown!!

Someone : Raiho is dashing to the ball!?

Nishiki : Wha...!?
Nishiki : That...

Nishiki : It can't be...
Nishiki : He chose this because he noticed about my leg...!?

Page 13

Kai : Damn it!!
Kai : Go after him!!

Kai : Everyone, surround Raiho!!

Matsudo : What is he planning!?
Matsudo : At this rate he'll be crushed at the instant he traps the ball.

Raiho : Nishiki-kun
Raiho : What's necessary for you is...

Page 14

Raiho : This!

Page 15

Someone : It...
Someone : It went through!!?

Nishiki : Why...!?

Nishiki : I don't get it...

Nishiki : Anyway, if I score it's my win...

Page 16

Nishiki : There's no
Nishiki : pressure...

Nishiki : I see.
Nishiki : The whole defense was pulled towards the captain.

Raiho : Matsudo-kun's pass... My decoy...
Raiho : Everyone worked together.
Raiho : This is how you score in football...

Page 17

Raiho : A goal is scored by the whole team!!

Raiho : Nishiki-kun,
Raiho : Nice shoot!

Page 18

Raiho : It's not like I hate your play style, Nishiki-kun.
Raiho : but, you know

Raiho : A forward that always tries to break through the front line alone
Raiho : It's like he's asking for the defenders to destroy his legs.

Raiho : That bandage that goes all around your leg...
Raiho : The injury that forced you to take a long break last year, wasn't it because of that too?

Raiho : I don't know the reason why you're persisting with that play style, but
Raiho : At this rate, it'll definitely be affecting your life as a player.
Raiho : You won't be able to play football anymore.

Nishiki : That's... has nothing to do with you, right?
Nishiki : I...

Raiho : I don't like that.

Page 19

Raiho : I want to have fun
Raiho : playing football with you a lot more, Nishiki-kun!

Nishiki : I will keep up scoring
Nishiki : And become a star player!!

Nishiki : What...
Nishiki : I'm the one who just won this match, so why...

Nishiki : Why...
Left : Tears he shed without even noticing, because of Raiho's play, of Raiho's words... What could be the burden that Nishiki is carrying...!?

Bottom : Next issue, how will Nishiki complete his play style!? And then, Kiichi and Koori are...!?
