Script Notes: Well, I'm sure all of you had a chance to get accustomed to this week's delayed release schedule. I'm batting clean-up here to RTT and pocketmofo and decided to go ahead and put a script out this week because 1) the title intrigued me and 2) the sidestory in this week's Jump is FRIED GOLD [/Spaced].

Scan team recruiters please read:
Anyway, I've been getting some requests from several scan teams on whether or not I'd be interested to join up as a translator: the bottom line is that this pseudonym you see here is really a two-man operation and while I'd like to help you guys out, my editor Aki is really jaded on the whole scanlation team scene and the drama that can ensue when conflicts arise. Frankly, if she doesn't want to sign up anywhere (like right now), I'm not moving since most of my work flying solo would be subpar to what I have with her.

BUT, if you guys want to use the scripts we put out weekly for your regular HQ scanlations, that's fine by us; we just don't want to get involved with politics and what-not.

Since the JP text has been inserted along with page numbers, we're done for this week. See you guys again when the next Jump rolls around!

Bleach c238 - Eagle Without Wings

Title Tie-in: There's no real clue-in to who exactly the titular 'eagle' is in this episode. Most readings of this chapter have me pointing towards Ichigo, but in all honesty this is the first time that I've ever really seen him referred to as any sort of bird. Additionally, there aren't many characters in Bleach that even have birds alluded to in there names (the notable examples are the Shiba clan). Now to save you reincarnationist fans some research, Kaien does NOT have the character for eagle in his given name; it's the kanji for the 'swallow.' HOWEVER, the second kanji in Ganju does! Of course, it's just a weird coincidence since I don't see Ganju randomly appearing in the manga in the near future.

一護「…ふ…っ　ふざけんな!!!証拠も無えのに死んだだと!?勝手なこと言ってんじゃねえ! ?
Ichigo: Stop spilling those shitty lies! I can't believe you can suggest that crap without solid evidence! Use some common sense!!

こいつを見てくれ!!!俺は昨日の戦いで手首に大ケガをした！
Ichigo: Here, what do you make of this!?

現世側の誰も治せなかった傷だ!!

Yamamoto: Do not weigh the measure of a single life against the fate of an entire world.

Kiyone: Spouting gibberish, like usual then!! It's not the breeze we need to worry about, it's the UV rays!

あたし花つんでくる!!花でやわらかく日ざしを防ぐのよ!!」
Kiyone: I'll get some flowers to blot out the sunshine, if I can get enough this'll do the trick!

仙太郎「なにを!!そんじゃあ俺はお香をたいて隊長がより心地よく眠れるようにするぜ!!」
Sentarou: All right, I'll light some incense sticks then, that oughta be good for the Captain's sleep!!
