Welcome to the next New Manga Shout Out. This weekly article introduces you to manga that are new and/or have not been scanlated yet. This is a continuation of the story of Psycho-Pass, which takes place in a future world where it is possible to completely detect a person's mental state. This technology is used by the Sibyl system to separate those who are judged to have the potential to commit crimes from the rest of society, and sometimes to execute them on the spot using a 'Dominator' gun. The detectives that hunt down criminals and potential criminals work in pairs of "Inspectors," who are respected citizens, and "Enforcers," who are expected to have insight into the minds of criminals. The story features Inspector Tsunemori Akane, who is now no longer a rookie detective, and introduces a new young Inspector named Shimotsuki Mika, who will join the fight against criminals and those judged to be potential criminals.

This manga is related to the anime "World Conquest Zvezda Plot." Middle-schooler Jimon Asuta is running away from home one night when he happens across a strange girl named Hoshimiya Kate. She tells him that she is the leader of a group bent on world conquest, and he humors her. It soon becomes clear that her talk was deadly serious, and he ends up recruited into the Zvesda organization. However, another organization stands in their way, of which some of Asuta's classmates are members!

Ootsuka Ririka is a cute teenage girl that is loved by all the boys at school, though she still hasn't chosen one as a boyfriend. Her one secret is that her grandfather runs a ping-pong center that he wants her to inherit. Ririka doesn't play ping-pong, and honestly isn't interested. Then one day, transfer student Hanazono Ageha arrives from Germany, where he has been practicing ping-pong. He is interested in ping-pong above all things, and is shockingly uninterested in lovely Ririka.

It turns out that he is coming to train under her grandfather, who is one of the former great 13 Japanese world champions, and he is hoping to defeat the teenagers trained by the other champions. Ririka's grandfather has another plan--that Ririka and Ageha will get married and carry on the family's ping-pong tradition. After seeing him play ping-pong intensely, Ririka does have interest in Ageha, and Ageha at least recognizes Ririka's beauty. Will her grandfather succeed in pushing them together?

The Ping-pong one (Takujou no Ageha) was the most interesting to me this time. It was pretty cute and funny, and it really seems like the two of them will end up together. Psycho-Pass 2 is probably of interest to those who have liked the Psycho-Pass anime and manga. Fans of the Zvezda anime will probably be also interested in the manga.

My opinion:
Psycho-Pass 2 - If you love the anime and previous manga, then you'll continue to enjoy this manga filled with action and mystery.
Sekai Seifuku - Bouryaku no Zvezd - This is another manga with an anime so if you were a fan of the anime, then be sure to check out this ecchi-filled manga.
Takujou no Ageha - If you're a fan of ping pong or sports, then you'll probably be interested in reading this school life ecchi comedy. With just a few chapters out, you'll catch up quickly.
