That said, um, you translated 「強大な。。。」 as "Something far greater...", but doesn't it just mean "Powerful..."? I'm asking because I know people use the translations to do power level discussions. Sorry to bother you.
The reason I phrased it the way I did is because of context. Particularly 3 chapters or so ago, there was a mental dialogue by Renee that clearly implied this new being, whatever it is, may be far stronger than even the Abyssal Ones. Perhaps it is facetious of me to assume that it is, but I feel all the signs saying it will. Take that line with a grain of salt, it's open-ended.
I can see you used jedict, which is not very comprehensive.
Here's more synonyms:
1. elephantine
2. husky
3. imperial
4. tremendous
You're right, jedict is not very comprehensive; I've experienced its limitations first-hand. And, 「強大」 translated through edict does seem as though it means roughly the same as 「強い」, but fortunately this is where the advantage of the Japanese language comes into play. The kanji 大 tells us that 「強大」 is of a far greater scale than 「強い」. (-: Also, if you have any other recommendations over edict, I'd love that.
Anyway, what I meant to draw attention to with the word "just" was that in the original Japanese, Deneve didn't do any comparison, so it felt somewhat weird that you injected that, and, what's more, that people would probably quote your translation on it as though that were written in the original Japanese.
At any rate, I don't mean to sound ingrate, so once again, thank you for translating this. :-)
To better reflect the literal script, I changed those lines to be intentionally more vague. Sorry if I've thrown fire on the power level arguments.
Hehe, maybe because you translated more freely this time than you usually do. But man, I wish I got comments on my translations now and then, seems a lot more fun that way.
