TN: As I translated this chapter, one thing particularly came to mind reading it: this feels like a typical Johnny Bravo episode. You know the style: the muscular lunkhead hits on a girl, gets ignored, does stuff to try and get her attention and fails miserably. But somehow while it hits or misses on Johnny Bravo, seeing it done as one chapter of this series shows a bit of charm: Suguru shows that he at least tries even if he is a bit devious about it and goes to the point of hiring a kaijuu to help him out. (even if the kaijuu decides to fight back...you can never tell even who your friends are) I liked Suguru's interaction with the kaijuu considering that it felt unexpected after the intro chapter that he would have friends in what was considered "the enemy". Similarly, seeing Suguru in a situation on his own is interesting in itself...particularly since the next chapter will begin to introduce new concepts and cast members that will end up making his life busy from now to the end of the series and beyond! Of course, the biggest surprise of the chapter: we get more of the "weird hero powers" that our so-called hero possesses at this point, including a rocket punch and "turning into a parachute"? I know a rocket punch probably won't help later but seeing it now is silly but appropriate.
