Rurouni Kenshin Fans Rejoice! Bonus Story in Upcoming Manga!

In Viz's upcoming 9th and final volume of the popular series Rurouni Kenshin they'll be including a bonus short story called "Yahiko no Sakabato" plus another additional short story in full color!

This will be the first time this new story will be translated into English, so fans out there make sure to pick up your copy on March 16th 2010.

Side note: Did anyone notice the length is 776 pages?!? From the looks of it, it's the largest volume of Rurouni Kenshin to date! Anyone have volume 8? Would you mind taking a picture of it to show us how big this thing is? I want to see if it beats our typical "Phone sized manga books" that get released here in Japan :p.

I always thought most books in JP were 200-250 pages long at most O_O;

Yeah, their regular sized ones. I'm talking about the monthly/weekly ones that are released in magazines :p

these are the "vizbig" versions they're releasing. they're three volumes in one usually. i'm guessing vol.9 will be 4 in one though, hence the 776 pages. anyway here's a pic of vol.6 compared to a typical manga vol.

Anyone know what this color chapter is?
I already read the yahiko side-story years ago, back when it was published in the mags...

Hell freaking yes! I've been wanting the viz big for a long time. This was the manga that got me into manga. I already own vol 1-28, and some extra RK stuff. Now I just need the 9 volumes.
