Official Website: HereThe 2010 anime film Colorful is adapted by studio Sunrise, based on a 1999 novel by Eto Mori that has already received a live-action film version (not to be confused with the pantsu manga & anime Colorful). This particular "heart-warming comedy" follows a person who finds himself trapped outside the normal endless circle of life and death. Thanks to "winning" a lottery in the angel world, the protagonist is brought back to inhabit the body of Makoto - a freshly-suicidal 14-year-old boy. While his life in this new body is pretty easy at first, it isn't long before he understands why the previous resident chose his fate, as he's now stuck in the same situation Makoto was and forced to deal with the confusing eccentricities of his family and friends. However, he eventually begins to think about the true meaning behind this challenge.
