In order to use this service, users have to first download the "Tezuka Osamu Manga Club" application from the Apple App Store. The service of receiving 100 pages a week of manga, "Weekly Tezuka Osama Magazine" is built into the application. The 100 pages will be refreshed every week on Tuesdays.
Starting from the 9th of February, Tezuka's death anniversary, the original manga for his anime movie "Tezuka Osamu's Buddha -Red Desert! Beauty-", slated to open in theatres on the 28th of May, will be made available as well. All 21 chapters and 774 pages of the long novel will be distributed over 21 weeks and will be available on iPhone, Android, Windows Mobile and the PC starting from the 8th of February.
The paid version comes with an "electronic library" function whereby users can have free reign to choose from all 400 volumes of Tezuka's manga. Since payment will not be made via Apple's App Store but to the SOBA Project system, users will need to create an account and log in. This account can be linked to the PC version of "Tezuka Osamu Manga Club", and the monthly fee of ¥1050 will give the user access to both the PC and iPad versions.

"GANGAN ONLINE" iPhone/iPad App Allows Users Access to Over 1000 Pages of Free Manga and Novels Square Enix launches "GANGAN ONLINE", an iPhone/iPad application that will give users access to over a thousand pages of free manga and novels. Users will not even need to log in. On the 27th, Square Enix began distributing its web comic "GANGAN ONLINE" via its iPhone/iPad application, "GANGAN ONLINE (i)". Users need not log in to gain access to over 1000 pages of manga and novels.
This application will allow users to view the manga and light novel series that are published on the website "GANGAN ONLINE" for free. Users access the site via the web browser built into the application, select the series they wish to read, and stream the manga/novel via a specialised viewer.
Once a user has accessed a certain series, it will be logged in his "bookshelf", and he can read it anytime he wants thereafter. The application will function just like the webcomic, such that once the set time is over for public viewing of that series, users will no longer be able to access and read it.
