Shogakukan Launches "Big Comic" iPhone/iPad App 
App provides access to popular series from "Big Comic", "Big Comic Original" and "Big Comic Superior", with plans for additional apps for series from "Big Comic Spirits" and "Shounen Sunday". On the 25th of March, Shogakukan began distributing popular manga from its three major seinen magazines, "Big Comic", "Big Comic Original" and "Big Comic Superior", as e-books in an iPhone/iPad app entitled "Big Comics". The app is free.
For the first installment, the manga that users will be able to read include "Iryuu", "Azumi", "HEAT -Shakunetsu-", "Saraninman", "Tasogare Ryuuseigun", Bengoshi no Kuzu", "Big Wing" and "Tsuchisa no Ipponzuri". The first 2 volumes of each are available, but need to be purchased at ¥450 per volume within the app. The app also notes that, "due to several reasons, there may be instances where not the whole series will be available for download".
Shogakukan also intends to develop applications for their other magazines, namely "Big Comic Spirits" and "Shounen Sunday".
