Eighth Installment of Jojo's to Begin Next Month With "STEEL BALL RUN" ending this month, the next installment of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, "Jojo Lion", has been slated to begin next month. Araki Hirohiko's "STEEL BALL RUN" came to an end in the 5th issue of Ultra Jump that goes on sale on the 19th of April. "STEEL BALL RUN" is the 7th installment in the "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure" series, and began serialization in Weekly Shounen Jump in 2004. It was later transferred to Ultra Jump where it ran for around 6 and a half years. The 23rd volume will be released on the 19th of May while the final volume, volume 24, will be released on the 3rd of June.
The 8th installation of "Jojo's" is entitled "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Jojo Lion" and will begin in the 6th issue of Ultra Jump, which goes on sale on the 19th of May. Moriou Town in S City from the 4th installment, "Diamond wa Kudakenai", will be used as the stage for the story to unfold.
Furthermore, Araki's collaboration with The Louvre, the full-color volume "Kishibe Rohan goes to The Louvre", goes on sale on the 19th of May.

Abe Hiroshi and Ueto Aya to Star in "Thermae Romae" Popular actor and actress Abe Hiroshi and Ueto Aya will star in Yamazaki Mari's "Thermae Romae" live-action movie adaptation, which is slated for a 2012 release. Popular manga "Thermae Romae" will be getting a live-action movie adaptation and actor Abe Hiroshi (46). Abe plays a medieval Roman bath designer Lucius, who travels through time into modern Japan repeatedly in this comedy piece. The heroine will be played by Ueto Aya (25) and the movie will be directed by Takeuchi Hideki. The movie is slated for a 2012 release.
Yamazaki Mari's "Thermae Romae" won the Manga Taishou Award 2010 as well as the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize for short series, and has sold over 2.5 million in total sales. There are many bath scenes, thus inevitably a lot of skin has to be shown, but Abe plans to start sculpting his body with the European body type as his goal.
Crank-in was in March, and filming will continue until May.

"Ashita no Joe" Anime Director Passes Away
Aged 67, Dezaki Osamu passed away due to lung cancer.
Animation director Dezaki Osamu, aged 67, passed away due to lung cancer on the 17th. His works include "Ashita no Joe", "Hamtaro's Great Adventure", as well as other huge hits in the 70's including "Ace wo Nerae!", "Rose of Versailles" and more.

While I haven't actually read Jojo's... it seems like it'll last forever. Like Kochi kame but broken into different installments.
I believe there was a post a few weeks back that said it was going to be - so that's why. I'm glad it's continuing though :D.
