Amazon Pulls Yaoi Manga From Kindle Store

Yaoi manga "Weekend Lovers", "King of Debt", "The Selfish Demon King" and "The Color of Love" pulled or refused from Kindle Store.

Amazon has asked Digital Manga Publishing to pull select Yaoi Manga titles from the Kindle store. The comics, which include sexually explicit homosexual content, are no longer to be found in the Kindle store. Here is more from the Manga blog:

Recently Amazon has become more strict in enforcing their content requirements for ebooks. Several DMP books that have been available online since 2009 are getting the axe, beginning with our Media titles like "Weekend Lovers" and "King of Debt". However, in the last few days the issue has spread to the June imprint by Amazon’s refusal of "The Selfish Demon King", and the removal of "The Color of Love" from the Kindle store. We fear that Amazon may target more of our books for removal so we’re warning all Amazon Kindle store users that providing you with our content may become more difficult in the future. However, if you purchase our ebooks before Amazon decides to remove it from their store you will still be able to access the book from your account.
After drama over a guide to pedophilia, Amazon seems to be taking its content more seriously. Still, as Comic Book Resources points out, there may be a double standard going on, as many heterosexual Manga comics, which are equally as explicit, remain. Here is more from the blog:

Titles currently available on Kindle include Christmas Creampie, a graphic novel in which ‘horny Whoreville hussies show a frustrated dildo shop owner the true meaning of Christmas,’ and Little Lorna in Resort Sports (I’m not even going to link to this one), in which Little Lorna, who is spunky, sexy, but ‘not too bright,’ goes on vacation to Mexico with her Uncle Bob; ‘nudity, spanking, and sexy humor’ result.
Is this select censorship, or has Amazon just not gotten here yet?

Three Teenagers Arrested for Shop-Lifting 57 Volumes of ONE PIECE

17-year-old boys stole 57 volumes of "ONE PIECE" because they wanted to won the whole manga.

A 17-year-old boy who works in the construction industry in Sawara Ward, Fukuoka City, was apprehended on the 6th on the suspicion of having shoplifted volumes 1 to 57 of popular manga "ONE PIECE" along with two friends.

The three boys allegedly shoplifted the 57 volumes from a bookstore in Tenjin, Chuuou Ward, Fukuoka City, at 5:15 pm on the 28th of April. The 57 volumes were worth around ¥23,440. They put the 57 volumes into a shopping basket and a security officer who found their actions suspicious followed them as they descended from the fourth floor via the escalator. The boys bypassed the cashier on the first floor, and instead went all the way down to the basement, outside the store. The security officer then apprehended the boys, but an unemployed boy and a part-timer (both also 17-years-old) managed to escape.

The part-timer denied the allegations, while the remaining two stated their reasons for shoplifting the volumes, saying, "We wanted to own the whole manga."

I kind of understand the shop-lifting.That's the problem you have with long series. You can't just buy the whole series without going broke.
