Laaaaate... Though not as late as last week! :nuts
Another chapter that challenged my lame English skillz...! x_x
Anyway, I tried my best, as usual.

Madara: You lived among them, but they didn't tell you anything
because you were still a child.

だが　これらは事実だ
Madara: But these facts are the truth.

お前の父親　フガクはそのクーデターを率いる首謀者だった
Madara: Your father, Fugaku, was the mastermind who led the coup d'état.

そしてイタチは父の命より　暗部に入り込んだスパイだった
Madara: And Itachi, following his father's orders, was sent into the Anbu as a spy.

イタチ…
Fugaku: Itachi...

お前は一族と里の中枢を繋ぐパイプ役でもあるのだ…
Fugaku: You also serve as a liaison between our clan and the nerve center of the village...

それは分かってるな？
Fugaku: I reckon that you're aware of your position.. (note: just to point out... This is Sasuke's flashback; he actually witnessed this scene, although he was hidden behind a door [well, panel..]; see vol.25..; ndt)

だが…　それは逆だった
Madara: But that... was actually the opposite.

イタチは里側にうちはの情報を流していた
俗に言う　〝二重スパイ〟というやつだ
Madara: Itachi leaked information about the Uchiha to the village.
He was what one would commonly call a "double agent".

Madara: You probably cannot even imagine

お前には想像も出来ないだろう
Madara: how heavy a burden that role was.

…なぜ？
Sasuke: ...Why?

なぜイタチはうちはを裏切る？
Sasuke: Why did Itachi betray the Uchiha?

戦争を見ていないお前には…
理解出来ないかもしれないな
Madara: I guess you cannot really understand
since you have never seen war.

大三次忍界大戦…
Madara: During the Third Shinobi World War

イタチはわずか四歳で　多くの人の死を目にしてしまった
Madara: Itachi, who was only 4, had to witness the death of numerous people.

戦争を経験するには幼すぎた
戦争は地獄だ
Madara: He was too young to experience war.
War is hell.

そのトラウマはイタチを争いを好まない　平和を愛する男にした
Madara: That trauma made Itachi into a man who disliked conflicts and loved peace.

里の安定を第一に考え　平和の為に働く…
そういう男だった
Madara: He worked for the sake of peace, considering the stability of the village as the most important thing.
That is the kind of person he was.

一族というしがらみにとらわれることなく　里を愛する忍
Madara: A shinobi who loved the village and never was bound by his ties to the clan.

里の上層部はそこを利用した
Madara: Konoha's top brass took advantage of this.

上層部はイタチに極秘任務を与えた
Madara: They assigned him a top secret mission.

目には目を…
うちはに対抗するには写輪眼が要る
Madara: An eye for an eye...
To challenge the Uchiha, the Sharingan was needed. (note: is it me, or does Madara have a liking for puns? XD; ndt)

そうだ
Madara: Yes.

その任務とは…
Madara: That mission was...

Madara: The slaughter of the entire Uchiha clan...

その時のイタチの心情はどのようなものだったのか…
Madara: What Itachi felt when he was told this

それは想像を絶する
Madara: exceeds our imagination.

イタチは恐るべき選択を迫られることになった
Madara: He was left with a dreadful choice to make.

同胞に手をかけるなど　有り得ぬ返答だったはずだ
Madara: The mere thought of killing his own fellowmen should have been out of the question, but...

だが　うちはほどの忍が内戦を起こせば
Madara: If shinobi such as the Uchiha were to start a civil war

木ノ葉隠れの里も火の国も大きく揺らぐ
Madara: both Konohagakure and the Fire Country would have been profoundly shaken.

それを機に　他国は必ず攻め込んでくる
Madara: The other countries would have definitely taken it as an opportunity to attack

第四次忍界大戦の引き金にもなりかねない事態になる
Madara: and the whole situation might even have triggered a Fourth Shinobi World War.

うちは一族の利己的な思想で
忍の世界とは無関係な者達を含め　また多くの人間が死ぬ
Madara: As a consequence of the Uchiha clan's selfish convictions
another great number of people, included those unrelated to the shinobi world, might have died.

お前がイタチならどうした？
Madara: What would you have done if you were Itachi?

Madara: And so he made the decision.

己の手で　一族の歴史に幕を下ろすことを
Madara: He would bring down the curtain on the history of his clan, with his own hands.

うちはを憎しみ裏切ったのではない…
仕方無かったのだ
Madara: He didn't betray the Uchiha out of hatred...
He just had no choice.

里の興りからの差別…　そして確執のツケ
それをたった一人で背負い込み　己を犠牲にしたイタチの決断を責めることは誰にも出来まい
Madara: Itachi chose to be saddled with the discrimination that was going on since the foundation of the village, and with the result of the feud.
On his own, he chose to sacrifice himself. I believe no one would be able to blame him for his decision.

事実　あの頃…
Madara: Actually, at the time...

このオレも戦争の機を伺っていた
Madara: I as well was waiting for war to occur.

千手の木ノ葉にもうちはにも恨みがあったからな
Madara: I did harbor resentment toward Senju's Konoha and the Uchiha, after all.

だがイタチはそれすら気付いていた
Madara: But Itachi realized even that.

オレの存在に唯一気付いていたのだ
Madara: He was the only one to notice my presence.

イタチはオレに接触を求め
ある条件を出してきた
Madara: Itachi approached me
and put forward a certain proposal.

うちは一族への復讐の手引きをする代わりに…
Madara: If I agreed not to lay a hand on the village

里側には手を出すなというものだ
Madara: he would help me take revenge against the Uchiha clan.

同胞をこの手にかける手伝いをすると…
Madara: He would help me kill his fellowmen...

だが　三代目火影だけはどうにか別の手を打とうとした
Madara: The Sandaime Hokage struggled to find another way to settle the matter.

うちはに和解案を打ち出して　話し合いを持とうとしたのだ
Madara: He offered the Uchiha a compromise to try and come to terms with them.

だが　時は迫り…
Madara: But there was no time

それは失敗する…
Madara: and his attempt failed...

Madara: Eventually, that night came to pass.

任務だった…
Madara: It was a mission...

Madara: He couldn't kill...

里の情報全てを非同盟国に漏洩すると言ってな
Madara: He told him that if he dared lay a finger on you
he would disclose all the information about Konoha to the enemy countries.

お前のことが何より心配だったのだ
Madara: He was worried about you more than anything else in the world.

だが　お前に本当の思いは言えなかった
Madara: Still, he couldn't tell you his true feelings.

だから　ああ言うしかなかった
Madara: And that is why he resorted to what you know.

お前が望む様な兄を演じ続けてきたのは…
Itachi: I have only played the part of the brother you desired

Itachi: Run... Run...

生にしがみつくがいい
Itachi: And cling to life.

Madara: He wanted you to believe

Madara: He begged the Hokage
to never reveal the truth to you.

Sasuke: ...That's a lie...

地獄の中でさえ…　兄はただひとりの弟を想い続けた。語られた衝撃の〝真実〟にサスケは…。
Even in the depths of hell, Itachi has always thought about his only little brother. After being told about the shocking "truth", Sasuke....

No.400/end - A shaken Sasuke is just finding out about the real Itachi; how was he in truth!? Next, "A planned fight"!!
