Asuma sensei, Shikamaru, Koketsu and Genma are standing on the roof, ready to leave to hunt down the Akatsuki members that invaded the Fire Country. Shikamaru wonders what his sensei is talking about when he says someone has to do it... Asuma gives them the signal to leave.

After Kurenai looks up from her book, she sees Asuma sensei and his team on the roof opposite to her terrace, but as soon as she saw them, they left, leaving her with a sad expression on her face.

In the meantime, Naruto dropped his shirt and is training hard with 10 bunshins to cut the waterfall, standing on a branch Yamato created for them. Naruto's look is really serious this time!

As hard as Naruto is trying hitting the water, there isn't any improvement to be seen... Swearing, Naruto says there aren't enough clones to do this, and he calls Kakashi sensei, who immediately looks up from his favourite Icha Icha Paradaisu.

Naruto asks Kakashi sensei if there aren't too few of his clones to do this training. Kakashi explains that he has to turn a large amount of chakra into wind to be able to cut the waterfall and if there are too much clones, the chakra will be devided over all of them, making it weaker. Kakashi confirms Naruto has enough clones for the size of this waterfall. That being said, Naruto asks for a few tips, but first he's not too happy about Kakashi telling him to take his time to accumulate the wind chakra in his body. He doesn't take enough time for it and that's why it doesn't work.
After complaining he cannot take his time in real combat, Kakashi tells him it will get faster when he'll be used to it.

Kakashi tells Naruto to just train... the training he's doing now would take years... cutting the leaf alone need half a year of training. Naruto progressed much faster than Kakashi expected. After Kakashi tells him even Sasuke needed a few days to learn lightning manupulation, Naruto firmly plants his foot on the branch and is definitely determined to catch up on his friend!

Both Kakashi and Yamato are looking at Naruto... and then Kakashi whispers something into Yamato's ear. After having acknowledged what Kakashi told him, Yamato performs a seal and Naruto's branch starts shaking, surprising him and his clones who try to keep their balance.

The waterfall a rapidly expanding, making a tremendous noise. At Yamato's next hand seal, new trees are formed and the branch Naruto stood on connects to them at the other side of the huge waterfall.

Yamato falls down on his knees, heavily breathing... Kakashi thinks Yamato really forced himself too much this time, but he says he's ok, coughing a lot... Kakashi doesn't really agree, and turns to Naruto saying he can't complain now. Naruto is really happy with this and performs a Tajuu Kage Bunshin no Jutsu.

That night, Sakura can't sleeps as she hold onto a picture of her together with Naruto, Sasuke and Kakashi.
She loosens her grip on the picture becoming sad and a tear rolls down her cheek... She really misses him...

At the training grounds, Naruto is laying under his cover, looking at the sky... so many stars... and he closes his eyes, tightening his fist which he hold on over his heart, thinking about the time Sasuke was still there.

After a while, Naruto wakes up and throws his cover aside. While getting up, Kakashi opens an eye, looking at Naruto.

In the middle of the night, Naruto got back on his branch, creating a large amounts of clones to start training again. When the sun is already high in the sky, Naruto and his clones are panting and still trying to cut the waterfall!

This last hit is the good one! The waterfall is cut over its entire length!! YOSHA!
Yamato widens his eyes at Naruto's joyful exclamation. Yamato is totally excited with this training... At this rate, Naruto will certainly ....

It's not only this training method who made Naruto do this so fast! It's also thanks to how Naruto feels about Sasuke!
