New Manga Shout Out: 6/20/11 - 6/26/11

Welcome to the next New Manga Shout Out. With the no-raws/scans rule on MH, you have to work a bit to find these mangas. This week features a dance club, mountain climbers, and a cat god. Three Stories in 1 volume:

1) Kangaeru Samurai: Juuzou is an unconventional masterless samurai in the Edo period, who has a deep knowledge of western philosophy and knowledge. He goes through his life solving sometimes humorous situations by utilizing his knowledge, as well as his samurai skills.

2) Yaa!: Katou is starting his job at an office, carrying with him all that he has learned about Iaido and the essence of a Japanese warrior. This seems really out of place at work, where people are confused by his strict self-discipline, intensity, and occasional bursts of violence. For his part, he can't handle being around another newcomer, the creepily laid-back, confident Minamoto. He also has to learn to deal with others, such as the relatively normal newcomer Kuribayashi and the anti-social woman Kobato. Katou is embarking on his new career, full of ridiculous warrior intensity!

3) Great Two: The story of a motorbike racer, and the race that will be his last chance to save his career.

This is what tethysdust said this week:
Nothing really caught my attention this time around. Saito-kun wa Chounouryokusha Rashii was my favorite in terms of art and story, but it seemed pretty much like a typical school life manga + super powers.
Here's a note from vyc:
Fukashigi Philia - pretty okay so far. Little bit of action with some mystery behind the characters and plot line. Would be interesting to see how the story pans out. Ookami Kakushi - horror, romantic series revolving around a secret the town is keeping. I really liked the supporting characters in this and the mystery keeps you interested for sure. Nekogami Yaoyorozu - I like this comedy. Sorta meta and I like the humor the author uses.
My opinion:
Saitou-kun wa Chounouryokusha Rashii was the only one that slightly piqued my insterest. It sounds like a fun series that makes fun of "super" powers.
