Welcome to the next New Manga Shout Out. This weekly article introduces you to manga that are new and/or have not been scanlated yet. In Hokkaido, the far northern lands of Japan, Sugimoto survived the Russo-Japanese war of the Meiji era. Nicknamed "Invincible Sugimoto" during the war, he now seeks the riches promised by the gold rush in hopes of saving the widowed wife of his now deceased comrade from the war. During his hunt of gold, he finds hints of a hidden stash of gold by corrupt criminals. Partnering with an Ainu girl that saves his life from the harsh climates of the north, they venture into a survival adventure to race against the criminals that seek the hidden stash.

Suzukawa Aoi enters her high school years with mixed emotions of nervousness and anticipation, but not for long. Her nervousness gets blown away when she finds that one of her classmates is a talking cat. The cat introduces himself as Shiratama Yusuke, and he has the IQ of a normal human being. Aoi doesn't care that all of her other classmates keep their distance from their new feline classmate. Her keen interest in Shiratama-kun knows no bounds.

Follow the daily school life of Gyaruko-chan, Otako, and Ojyo in this series of comedic short stories. Gyaruko-chan has a tendency to speak rudely, but she's basically friends with everyone. Otako is the quiet loner of the class, but she is good friends with Gyaruko-chan. Ojyo speaks her mind freely and naturally.

My opinion:
Golden Kamui - If you're interested in reading a manga with an alternative historical adventure setting, then you may want to check it out. Although the description sort of made me think of a gold rush...
Shiratama-kun - If you're in the mood for a slice of life manga with a talking cat as a classmate, then this is the manga for you.
Oshiete! Gyaruko-chan - If you like slice of life manga in a school setting with girls dealing with issues, then you may want to check this out instead. This one actually has some scanlations out.
