When she asks various other denizens of the Kingdom of Hearts (mostly gorgeous men) how she can get home, they all tell her the same thing: There's no way for her to return home until the end of the "game" that has just started!

In old Japan, lined up in the streets were all kinds of entertainment venues from restaurants to shows and galleries. Of the many shops, one of the least profitable was the Hakurantei. Mainly focusing on the supernatural theme, they used tricks and science to entertain the guests and let them experience creatures that only appear in stories. The owner of the store is Sakaki who is a supernatural nerd. With his employees, Kashiwa, Yomogi, Renge and Yatsude, some of who can use magic or are supernatural beings themselves, they try and find different attractions to bring in customers to their exhibit.

Daiba Kakeru has always felt like he entered a new world whenever he ran. Tiring himself out by running would cause something like a runner’s high and his five senses would go into overload, causing them to be hyper sensitive. He would be able to notice tiny details, hear ridiculously faint or far sounds and his body’s reaction time would be incredibly quick. Kakeru has had a crush on his classmate Natsume for months now and he's finally able to ask her out, only to find out that she ran away from home that same night. But Kakeru picks up on the subtle clues left behind and realizes Natsume was kidnapped. With the help of his resourceful science teacher Nezu Michiko, Kakeru uses his love as a motivation and hyper senses to track down Natsume.

Kondo Yoko has strangely pale eyes, just like her grandmother did before her. On her 17th birthday, she begins to see strange things that can't be seen by anyone around her. The first thing she sees is a child with a bandage over his eyes, who seems to be asking her for something. Is his situation merely tragic, or is his presence possibly dangerous for Yoko?

Yoko meets a college student, Tanonaka Kyouichi, who studies urban legends, folklore, and things of that nature. He believes her account of the strange child and helps her try to figure out what to do about him. After this first encounter that brings them together, Yoko and Tanonaka begin to encounter all kinds of supernatural events together. With Yoko's spiritual sight and Tanonaka's knowledge, they make an excellent team!

After being kicked out of the main dorms for bringing in a stray cat, Kanda Sorata is forced to live in the smaller Sakura Halls where problem students are sent to live. Although he doesn’t mind his roommates, Sorata can’t wait to move out of Sakura Halls. But when Shiina Mashiro moves into the dorm, everything changes. Mashiro is an artistic genius who, at a young age, won many awards for her skills, but due to her childhood being so focused on art, she has no common sense and social skills. Forced to take the role of taking care of Mashiro, Sorata learns about himself and begins on a path of self improvement.

This is what tethysdust said this week:
I recall someone asking about horror manga in the comments, and we do have a horror manga featured this week, "Odoro"! The older style of art kind of kept the atmosphere from being really creepy for me, but the horror occurrences have really interesting stories behind them. "Concierge" reminded me a bit of the anime "Bartender", in its tone and attitude towards service.
Here's what vyc had to say:
I liked Kakeru this week. Mystery series where main characters solve crimes with a little twist that the main character can turn on/off his "detective" skills. I did like the mysteries and the plot line overall but I did have a little hesitation on how long each case takes 1.5 volumes from the beginning to the end of a case.
My opinion:
Not really interested in much this week, although I guess Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo appealed to me the most and it might be interesting to see how someone without common sense acts.
