Welcome to the next New Manga Shout Out. This weekly article introduces you to manga that are new and/or have not been scanlated yet. He wants to progress in his career, but he has a bit of a complex about having attended a 2nd tier university. Ninomiya and Kanzaki are as different as oil and water, but when they meet, they will end up resolving many new conflicts that span both their worlds!

The title "Naruhodo" loosely translates to "I understand"... but you may or may not completely understand each of the slap stick short stories revolving around high school girls. The girls each find themselves in comical and/or awkward situations, usually leading to an abrupt ending to the extremely short story. The author's style creates a surreal and awkward world where rules and stories are never really explained.

There's a legend that in an abandoned church, there lives a chef that can create gourmet dishes that will guarantee death to anyone that dares to eat it. Amako is a young girl who has a great love of sweets. Due to her father's job, she had to move many times during her childhood, which prevented her from making close friends. All seems lost, when a strange young girl named Pudding appears out of a pudding cup! She says she's run away from her home, in the Kingdom of Sweets, and she agrees to be in Amako's club in exchange for a place to stay. Soon, Pudding's sisters, Cream and Chocolate, arrive to bring her home, but they find that Pudding's way home is lost! Will Pudding be stuck in Amako's world permanently? This 4-koma features Pudding, Amako, and other visitors from the Kingdom of Sweets, as they enjoy school life and tasty snacks together.

6 years ago, Tsukihiko was caught in an assassination attempt on a little girl, Sami, when he attempted to be her shield. This incident nearly killed him and the girl together, but the little girl was the daughter of an extremely powerful family. With its vast amount of resources, the family was able to keep both Tsukihiko and Sami alive by recreating both of their bodies with cyborg technology. This has forced Sami to permanently rely on the wired connection to her life sustaining computer. On the other hand, Tsukihiko has become a cyborg "Knight," sworn to protect Sami from harms way.

This is what tethysdust said this week:
Sweet Magic Syndrome was silly but cute, for anyone looking for a light comedic manga. Gekikou Ganbo was interesting, it looks like this sequel starts off with some pretty complicated problems for the main characters to resolve. Kuroneko wa Kare ni Koi Shinai Yakusoku has some potentially neat onmyodo stuff.

You can tell the author of Naruhodo has a unique sense of humor. It's worth a quick read if you like off-beat mangas. The other two didn't catch my interest much.

My opinion:
I'm a little curious as to how the food in Shidou - Saigo no Bansan Ryourinin can kill people. Other than that, nothing else seems that interesting... ^^;;
