Welcome to the next New Manga Shout Out. This weekly article introduces you to manga that are new and/or have not been scanlated yet. This week features an idealistic lawyer, a student that owes 1 billion in school fines, and a bathhouse that's losing customers. Remember, if you like any of the series, favorite them. Okonogi Mamoru is a new, very idealistic lawyer. He wants to protect the weak as an ally of justice! Most of the others in his office don't seem to share his enthusiasm for the work. Nanjou just wants to play video games all the time, Kurokawa seems more interested in alcohol, and Urasawa is away on a business trip. When Nanjou tries to deflect a case with a landlord who wants to evict some yakuza tenants, Mamoru takes up his cause. Mamoru is determined not to fall short of his ideals, no matter what it takes!

Ichiba Kurogane is the son of a rich business family, but he wants to earn money by his own power. For this, he goes to Gakuenzono Academy, where students are scored only by how much money they can earn! Within the school, all transactions are made with school-yen, and anything else is forbidden.

Kurogane can tell by sight which people are going to be big earners, and he ends up latching onto a young cook, Naruko Hana. Hana has her own Japanese cuisine cooking club, with a rundown, unpopular, soon-to-be-closed restaurant. With his help to gain customers, she may be able to realize the true earning potential of her cooking skill!

Unfortunately, Kurogane brought his wallet with him to school, and its contents involved a rule infraction that ended up saddling him with a 1 billion school-yen fine! The merciless student council president, Asamatsuri Hagane, demands that he pay a hefty installment on the fine each month or face expulsion. Will Kurogane be able to overcome this setback and reach his own earning potential?

One day, when Kasumi's bath is in need of fixing, she heads to a nearby public bathhouse. She's the only customer so late at night, and the bathhouse attendant is a beautiful girl named Kiyo. Kasumi is so impressed by the bathhouse and Kiyo that she begins to come back regularly. She soon learns that the bathhouse has been losing many customers to a convenient "Super Bathhouse," and she decides to do what she can for their popularity. But does Kiyo consider Kasumi to be just another customer? There are also a few short stories included in the volume.

Himawari to Tenbin was my favorite this week, and it has a lot of information about lawyering involved in the story and in asides. Sentou Hawaii was a much more innocent story than one might expect from a girls love story about a bathhouse. Ichiba Kurogane wa Kasegitai seemed a little too formulaic to me, even though the premise was kind of interesting.

My opinion:
Himawari to Tenbin - If you're into the legal system, then you may be interested in seeing how a lawyer may work, even if the lawyer is idealistic...
Ichiba Kurogane wa Kasegitai - If you are in the mood for a school manga and how to earn money, then this manga may be the one for you. Owing a school 1 billion is pretty ridiculous, but it may turn out to be interesting to see how he pays that huge fine. Then again, I don't know why he doesn't just get the money from his parents...
Sentou Hawaii - If you like reading about girl's love, then you may want to check out this manga.
